  1. Hi Tony,

There has been a V reg Granite Sky SE for sale at my local Non Lexus dealer for about 5 months now.

I think it is a manual but with no Sat Nav, 62K miles with Full Lexus Service History for £12995.

Just rang him and he has just dropped the price to £11995 and has said he is selling his wife's black Sat Nav IS200 if you were interested in that.

    :phone:

  2. Hi Amit,

I too have a black IS200 and I had the Diamondbrite treatment. I was very pleased with the emd result. :)

As much as I tried all the other polishes and waxes such as Mer and Autoglym you could still see the swirl marks in it. Black seems to be particularly bad for that :(

However since the treatment, about 5 months ago, the car looks great after just a quick washdown and I haven't been using the conserver shampoo that you are supposed to either. :D

Gold membership discount should make it even better ;)

  3. You have obviously got some great contacts to get such a cheap deal. B)

By the way, I hope you are documenting and taking regular pictures of the whole operation. ;)

I would love to find out more about what is actually involved.

Why don't you make a video and flog it on the site! :)

The money might help offset soem of the cost in some small way :withstupid: I did say small!

  4. Hi Guys,

BR7NY - I will check my documents and pray that they do charge an admin fee. That way I will save a batch of mods next time and tell them all at once!

Bad new about them scrapping your Insurance just for fitting a new exhaust. I hate Insurnace companies. You never know how good they are until you need them and by then it is too late.

Matt - I rang the Lexus Club Insurers and got all they way through giving the details but when I mentioned the Mods they said the scheme isn't quite set up yet and I should ring back mid January. I will and I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I have 6 weeks until my current insurance runs out so it could be perfect timing.

I need to clarify the exact situation and Insurance charges as I was thinking of going for the Supercharger option next. Might end up with a really nice car but not be able to drive it legally!! :crybaby:

  5. :crying: :(

Really pleased with having fitted my new HKS Super Drager recently right up until the point I told my insurance company!!!!

Only have six weeks left to run on this years policy and was charged £14.70. It got me thinking and I have now worked out that it is costing me £145 a year extra. :duh:

Checked how much it was when I lowered the suspension with my Eibach springs and that is costing me £72 annually. The springs only cost £160!!!!:sad:

    No very happy now!!! :crybaby:

  6. Hi,

I too was worried about the ride quality after lowering the suspension but I chose the Eibach -30mm springs and I have been very pleased the result. :D :D

The ride is a very good and not too bumpy. The roads aren't great around my area but the improvement to handling is worth the odd rattle. :D

    :geek:

  7. I choked at the thought of paying the £95 +VAT for a set of Lexus mats and so got a set custom made for less than half the price :D

However the fixing clip for these was very poor and different to the Lexus arrangement and I too have been looking a prat in town when the throttle has stuck. :crying:

I popped down the dealer the other day to get a new clip but they don't sell just the clip. They did however advise me of the car mat recall scheme and gave me a new set of front mats which include the clip!! :) :D :)

Seems daft that you can't get the clip seperately but fitted the new set of mats today and the arrangement looks much more firm :yahoo:

  8. Mark,

That was just what I was looking for a straight answer from a man that is likely to know!! :D

Can you tell me why nobody removes their centre CAT??

Is there no benefit to be had, is it too noisey, are the car electronics reliant upon it or is it just a waste of effort??
