I Definitely agree, same thing occurred to me and after Lexus changed 2 sensors..................throttle body and sensor was the fault.

My fellow Lexi, Can anyone offer me any advice or recommendations on where to go for parts and fitting? My problem is that I have a 96LS and the time has come for replacing worn parts. Anti roll bar bushes, Brake discs and pads, Springs? and Shocks. I have a gas conversion which because of the weight pulls rear down slightly and have asked Lexus and Toyota for prices.Lexus have failed to respond except saying no uprated springs available, Toyota says same and they have said 2500+ I know that threads exist on this excellent site but can anyone steer me in the right direction, as I am not mechanically minded I have to find someone. Many many thanks

Mine did the same, would conk out after engine been running a while. Could sit at lights and watch engine revs drop until the car stalled, took car in and problem was dirty throttle!
