  1. Check out this thread :winky: ah, i always looked at parkers tax guide, the other week it was showing 435 for a 51 plate, just looked now and its 254 in 2010... so not so bad if we get stuck with it.
  2. Yeah, and the funny thing is that insane tax hike is now on hold for older cars, but values will never recover. And they still won't say for sure whether it will be retrospective, or just on new cars. totally agree, the tax hike was another way of gaining revenue. they just thought ah well its boom time and we can just tax it to death and people will just pay. I am lucky to earn enough to be able to put money to the trade in and change but many could be stuck with a car that will be 400 pounds plus to tax and not afford to change. These people will then more likely drive with no tax. have the government officially confirmed the new tax is on hold or just rumors?
  3. Hi its a 51 plate all clean and tidy figured maybe work 3k plus on a trade in. the new tax system really is screwing up car ownership really, the general second hand market isnt too bad, may of the cars we have phoned to see have been sold. one trader even offered 1600 quid.... jaw dropping
  4. My wife has owned her is200 for about 4 years, good condition with 101,000 miles. all but last service done. she needs to change ot for a car with a bigger boot. we went to px it at the weekend and was amazed at it being only worth two and a half grand as a trade in. these have lost so much money. surprising as they arnt expensive to run.
  5. Hi TheDon, Thats a nice cheap modification. On another note, are there no good priced manifolds about for the 200? I have been looking but can only find them for the 300.
  6. I import them, same technology just unbranded so loads cheaper. People are skeptical about these but then it new so thats understandable. I dont know of anybody who has fitted these kits not notice a difference. My idle used to fluctuate especially when cold but now sits rock steady, buddy club tested theirs on a new impreza and got 8bhp, my kits were tested on a civic type r by the manufacturer and showed 5bhp.
  7. It is surprising the results you can get with these kits. The idea of the grounding os to ensure the alternator, injectors and spark plugs are working to there full potential. Here are mine:
  8. Denso plugs are very good, I have been running IK24's in my S14 for about 30K still look like new, no problems at all. I also noticed better smoother running and it had new plugs before i fitted them too.
  9. hello guy's, I hope I dont step on any toes, these really do work but dont go buying those kits as I will do you a good deal on some great kits much cheaper than those. The ground kit is a good price but the voltage kit is expensive. Please let me know if I can help. Mr Morse I see that you have connect two wires to the slam panel they will work better if wired to the following: the alernator the head intake plenum. These are a must to make the whole system work to its full potential. hope that helps regards Daniel
  10. i ordered them on Tuesday last week and they arrived yesterday, top service from that trader on ebay.. havent had time to fit them as yet though.
  11. Hi, Catch tanks are quite important really especially in tuned cars and a must on a turbo or sc motor. Generally the cam cover vents back in to the intake system adding dirty air to your air which is not very good for the mixture. Can cause increased bore temps and even det. Fitting a catch tank will get rid of this crap air letting your engine run on cleaner air!
  12. they are so cheap like £6 each thats half retail price, going to get a set of IK24's for my s14 at the same time.
  13. thanks for the link, just asked if he has any IK20's cheers dano
  14. Hello and thanks, looks like a very good BBoard.. I have read that thread and it looks like the is300 ones are different.. shame i could get them cheap along with a system.. regards dano
  15. hello, thanks for the reply. i will get some in for her, she only has the basic '51 plate s although she is pretty pleased and cannot wait to collect it. IK20's it is then cool
  16. Hello guy's, I am a new member, i have done a search but cannot find definative answers in the results. My girlfriend has just purchased a 51 plate is200. i am sorting out all the parts required for a service, are denso IK20's ok for a standard engine? I am also going to fit a high flow panel filter in the standard box. Exhaust systems... will headers and system from a is300 fit straight on. I own a performance parts company and my suppliers lists parts for the is300 but wont confirm if they will fit the is200?? Thanks for all the help in advance regards daniel
