  1. I can't beleive you managed to get one that cheap - very lucky!! The exact same thing has gone wrong with my IS200Sport and the garage quoted me £1200 to fix the clutch and flywheel. Had a look on eBay but not seem any, anybody else spotted anymore 2nd hands ones at crazy prices by any chance?
  2. Just seemed a bit strange that the same thing happened to the same wheel twice?? I thought that if the alloy was bent or broken under the tyre maybe it was slowly distorting the tyre over it as it was perfect when I drove it away from the garage but has gradually got worst ever since? Neil
  3. Discovery Channel eh That great help though guys, it sounds like the Rim is knackered, I'll swap em over tommorow and see if the car churns the right one up when put on that side and if it don't it's time to start searching Ebay for people selling one Alloy eh haha
  4. Yeah thats probably a good idea actually, soon as it stops snowing I think I might get out there and swap them round see if it churns up the one off the right wheel or if it starts making the same wheel worst on the other side eh! Cheers for the idea mate!
  5. No that's why so confusing, I really look after the car well, only really drive it to my girls house and to work once a week, nothing I could be driving over to knacker it. Plus its wierd it keeps being the same tyre that is going off, can't work it out?!?!?!
  6. Yeah that was what I thought it could be, but surely the tyre fitter would have told me? It isn't the tracking or alignment, had both done and that hasn't sorted it? Can't really get a pic of it as looking at them they look fine but when you jack it up and spin the wheel you can see there are lumps in the tyre as it goes round. I.e. it doesn't stay comletely flat on the top of the tyre when span (does that make sense?) So what do you think I should do people, take it to another tyre place and get them to take the tyre off and see if the rim is bent or broken, what should I be looking for??? NEIL
  7. I have a 4 year old Lexus IS200 Sport and last month took it to the garage because it was pulling all over the place and on closer inspection I noticed the front left tyre was all bent out of shape. After putting the new tyre on the car returned to it's glorious state of perfect driving! A month later and the brand new tyre I paid £120 for has done the exact same thing and the car is back to pulling all over the place. Does anybody have any ideas why this would happen as I am completely stumped by it?!!! Neil
  8. OK wicked, I'll give that a go tommorow, thanks for all your help guys :D
  9. OK I'll have another go, so when you say the base of the seat you mean the bottom bit i.e. the bit you sit on not the back of the seat you lean back on? If this just pulls off what is connecting it to the car, how will I get it back on afterwards? Don't want it to keep coming off if its not screwed down?? Sorry for all the stupid questions, just really worried I'm gonna mess my car up as I havn't had it long And the plastic cover I was talking about was in the boot, there is a black plasticy cover covering the back of the seats that was connected by 4 black plastic screw plugs, I popped these out and pulled the black plastic cover forward to reveal loads of bolts behind it, is this what I need to undo to release the back of the seats??
  10. Haha Hate it when people say that, makes me look even stupider Problem was I'm being overly cautious not to rip/break the seats. I coulnd't seem to pull the back seats out from the bottom they felt like they were going to snap. So I went to the book and removed the black cover that is on the back seats and tried to get the 4 bolts undone but there was 6 little bolts so I was not sure I was undoing the right thing, this is where I gave up, was I on the right lines then????
  11. Hi Guys, Sorry to jump on somebody elses post with my own question, but if the Caster Arms need replacing how much should I be looking to pay a garage to do this do you think? Don't want to get ripped off by not knowing what I'm talking about! Cheers, Neil
  12. Cheers for the advice mate, I have had another go but no joy, think I'm gonna have to take it to the garage! Doh!
  13. Sorry about this, I am new and rubbish when it comes to trying to fix my car, only had my IS200 Sport a month and blew one of the shelf speakers already. Was lucky enough to get a new speaker from the breakers yard for £10 (nice) but I'm really struggling trying to get the back seats out to fit it!! 1) When you say bottom part pulls of do you mean just pull it as hard as possible and it'll come off without breaking anything? By bottom part do you mean the bit you sit on or the bottom of the back part?? 2) What/Where are c-pillar covers? Please somebody help me, really wanna do this myself but without :tsktsk: up my seats!
