  1. Thank you Peter. Where did you buy it from please?
  2. Gutted! I’ve just kerbed one of my wheels. It’s a 2004 pre face lift. Does anyone know what colour these are? One of my other wheels has had a small scuff sanded down and painted and it doesn’t look too bad. I just don’t know what paint colour it is. Thanks
  3. You are of course, spot on. However, Mrs F isn’t then philosophical type. 🤭
  4. I’ve been telling Mrs Finchy about your adventure. Trying to convince her that we could do that. She’s comparing ages of SC’s and because ours is older with slightly more miles, she thinks we’ll break down. I don’t think I’m going to win this one but I can live it through you guys. Have a great time. 😎
  5. The filter doesn’t do anything for the interior. The seats look really grubby but I’m guessing that they’re ok in reality.
  6. Which one have you bought 2Tanks?
  7. Yes. Previous owner bought the netting.
  8. Not for sale but a few of you have asked to see some photos of the ‘new to me’ SC.
  9. It’s On Autotrader as well now. Looks lovely however, the boot looks like it’s got a fair bit of water staining in it so might need checking out. Bob will know better than me but I do love the colour combo.
  10. The only downside to getting this car at such a good price is that I keep thinking something is going to go wrong……. Despite now having clocked up 750 miles and an MOT qualified mechanic telling me it’s in great order. 😉 I do indeed ‘get it’ now and can’t believe word hasn’t got out. These cars are fantastic fun and great value for money.
  11. What are you doing Bob? What enhancements?
  12. The one Stephen told me about. USA company called SC430mods. Great product and service for less than £100.
  13. Touch wood Bob. No issues and my mechanic friend said it was a great car for the money. No rust or rot and everything works as it should. I replaced the front grille because I felt it spoiled the overall look of the car having been painted the same colour as the car. Ive had a throttle controller fitted which I’m happy with. When I want the car to be a bit more responsive, I can now have it. Cam belt, water pump and plugs all replaced along with a full service. I’ve also spent some time treating the leatherwork which has paid dividends. Now looks really good although it wasn’t that bad to start with. So, assuming nothing untoward happens, I’ve spent £4625 in total but have a fully serviced, health checked SC. Im going to run it for a year or so and if I carry on enjoying it as much as I am now, may upgrade to a late model, low mileage one in my preferred colour of blue or the dark red. How’s things with you Bob? Are you getting any miles under your belt and what plans have you got for yours?
  14. Well after a month of ownership I’ve decided that bought wisely (and with the help of my Forum Friends) these are incredible value for money. Pound for pound smiles I don’t think they can be beaten. I wanted a car that made me want to drive anywhere and everywhere …… not just to get from A to B but to enjoy the experience of getting there. Im one very happy SC430 owner.
  15. A lot of the sensibly priced cars seem to be moving quite swiftly now. There’s a lot that have been around for a while including Shipley. I’m sure if they’d kept the price at £6995 it would have gone by now but at £7995 there look like better ones around.
  16. The white doesn’t help the yellowing of the headlamps though does it!? That said, the gold Lexus badge blends in nicely. 😂
  17. It’s ok…… I’ve completely changed the title anyway so there isn’t any confusion.
  18. Hi Colin. Good work, luckily I didn’t title it the same anyway so we can carry on using this one. Haha.
  19. Just spotted another scam connected to EBay this time. Yes I have reported it! Autotrader genuine seller looking for £13995 and the same car appeared on EBay for £6900. Same photos and reg number. I enquired about the bogus advert and surprise surprise the guy said I wouldn’t be able to view it as he was ‘all over the country on business’. Said he’s accept £4000 if I sent him the money and he’s organise a courier to get it to me….. He’d even give me a full refund if I wasn’t happy with it. What a guy!!!! Ended the dialogue by telling him another gentleman had kindly offered me the same transaction but for £3500 so I’ve bought from him instead. Strangely satisfying knowing that someone somewhere feels that a fellow scammer has just deprived them of £4k.
  20. Doesn’t look like Steve has managed to change the title so I’ll open up a new thread for those of us wanting to discuss the cars coming onto the market.
  21. I’ve had a look and can’t see any way to change the title but if the moderator can, ‘SC430 For Sale Chat’ sounds good.
  22. Decent history on it too. Three owners from new. If it’s full lexus history as well….. bargain indeed.
  23. Drifting I’m happy with its when the front washes out that the fun starts. 😂
  24. Cheers Bob. Probably ok for the summer but worth changing them before winter.
