Please can someone help !! My lexus 220d se had a full engine rebuildincnew cat convertor 13 months ago by lexus as a 'goodwill gesture' as the power was lost and engine management lights on. I suspect this was a recall anyway ?? However, on monday the same thing happened again, check vsc all lights on and limp home mode. Luckily near to my local lexus centre where it is been regularly serviced since purchase in 2010. Informed that the cat has failed after 13 months and 27k mileage since the engine was basically replaced last year. After many calls to lexus and to their customer relations team they will not pay for the repair £1600 as the repai last year was free, i beg the question why did they do this anyway??? They only guarantee parts for 12 months. I am so angry about this, i have been such a loyal customer since buying the car had it serviced on the dot and have a service plan in place. They have told me the car has too many miles on it and that is out of their warranty period. To top it all off, they have stated that use of the sixth gear has caused this to happen!!!!!! I drive on motorways, this is a executive car . Can anyone help as I am getting nowhere, they have lost me as a customer I can say that.
