98 Gs 300 Se: Radio Lcd Display Fixed

Recommended Posts

As a follow up to my "newbie" post, I have now repaired the failing radio disply on my 98 GS300 SE.

Radio was the Pioneer KEX-M8176ZT/EW & the part required is Pioneer Part No. CWM4932.

This is the complete LCD display which will plug into the radio unit after removal of the front assembly.

The part is available from the spares agents; SEME Nedis ( http://www.semenedis.com/ ) @ £86.06 inclusive of VAT & postage.

(Took 10 days, Site says allow 14)

If anyone still has the problem, & needs assistance, feel free to PM me. (I also have the service manual for this model). Took less than 30 minutes, going very gently & completely removing the radio to the kitchen table. (Hardest part was pulling the plugs on the back :D )

My thanks to Becky in semenedis sales & also to the many members of the forum who have given help & links for radio removal.

Regards,

Max.
