Nightmare Few Days With My Is200.

Had a testing few days with my car. Is200 sport 05. Had it into my garage who i've dealt with since the purchase of my car with noise coming from front near side, also steering wasn't so responsive. He told me he suspected it was the ball joint. On inspection told me he didn't see any problems. Driving along the road and Ball joint failed. Was a little irate with mechanic to say the least. Damage done to wheel arch on failure. also ABS sensor had to be replaced amongst other items. Got car serviced and MOT done whilst it was in the garage. Took advice of forum and replaced both Ball joints. Needless to say i'm looking for a new mechanic .

Just a little update. i suppose the moral of the story is the signs where there before my ball joints went and if i had been on LOC more regular i would have got the information i needed sooner. It's all worked out ok in the end ;)

in addition to noise that was coming from the drivers side front wheel which was coming and going for periods (days on end). the steering was gradually getting worse. wasn't until the day of the ball joint failure the steering was near impossible and causing me great concern. didn't make it to the garage unfortunately.
