Beware of flimsy bodywork
I was horrified yesterday to find a small dent on the small lip of the boot below the glass. The paint isn't broken and there were no scuff marks to give a clue of what caused it. After much brain searching, my wife asked "Do you remember me telling you not to lean on the car?" She was right! Last weekend we had gone on a fell walk and I had put my hand on that spot to balance myself when taking my boots off. I was that tired I forgot myself using the car as a rest, especialy our new beauty. Sur
DTC B1442 Air inlet damper control motor
Since my Battery scare been digging into other potential items that could be impacting my Battery (other than the obvious not driving long journeys frequently enough, which can be resolved with periodic direct charging of the 12v battery). Does anyone have any experience of a persistent DTC B1442 code on Techstream? So in theory I should not have a damaged servo arm issue, as my vehicle has only ever been dealership serviced, so every Lexus technician should know to move to recirculate prio

Updating map in 2014 GS300h
The map in my GS300h is now at least 10 years out of date! I got in a right mess at Manchester airport the other day... I did speak to the dealer about this last year but they wanted some crazy amount (£300 plus if I recall). Sorry to ask - I have searched but not come up with an answer - but how would I go about updating this myself? I see many maps for sale online for realistic prices but none that explicitly state they are compatible with my system. Any help would be greatly ap
Hi all
Hi everyone, I'm Bill, my wife just bought a beauty of an IS250 SE L, we've just driven it from Bristol to Bulgaria on a 3 day road trip, didn't miss a beat. Only problem was the water from the air con pooling in the back, thanks to this forum I now have a fix. Love the car, I say it's white, V5 says blue, one of lexus special paint applications. This is my wife's car, I drive a BMW X3, soon to be changed UP to a lexus RX or NX not sure which one yet. Maybe peeps on here will advise.
2012 RX450h Rear Washer Motor & Pump Assy. Help.
My rear washer on the RX isn't working, I had Lexus check it whilst in for a service and they said the fuse was ok so it could be a wiring fault (front bumper off) or it's the motor and pump assembly (part no. 85330-60180). I'm willing to take a chance on replacing the asssembly... the genuine Lexus part quote is £143.91 plus fitting which is obviously not cheap. It would be nice to get it fixed at a resonable cost and I'm thinking I might have a go at replacing the assembly myself as I und
