  1. Indeed, tried fitting mine and my mk3 has three tangs on the bulb holder, contacted seller and they have given me full refund, and keep the items,so out with the dremmel 2morrow as 2 of the tangs line up,and also need fettling on the top edge as the hole in the wing is not a full rectangle. Im sure i saw somewhere that MR2 mk1 was the same, but never actually seen any to confirm.

  2. I've had my IS250 since last July. In that time I've done 4,600 miles at an average 30.15mpg (calculated from actual petrol used, not from the car's computer). My best tank was 32.43mpg and my worst was 28.01mpg. Most of the mileage has probably been motorway (weekly trip from Hampshire to West Midlands) with the rest around town. I've mostly only used Shell V-Power Nitro+ petrol in it, which has worked out at 20.01p per mile. If you can find a MultiMedia version, the satnav is pretty good (it will dynamically reroute around traffic). You can use MP3 CDs in the Mark Levinson 6-CD changer, which allows somewhere between 80 and 120 songs per CD (depending on size/quality), so you can carry around 600 songs at a time. I also have a small DAB radio plugged into the AUX socket so that I can listen to Radio 6 Music. The 2009MY post-facelift cars have a few nice, if not essential, features over the earlier cars (e.g. ability to autofold mirrors when locking the car).

  3. Yes, I've played (never to any great standard) since I could walk. Makes people smile occasionally around the Sussex league clubs. Many years ago I never got around to buying A11 OUT for not much money when the DVLA originally released it. Some years later I saw it on a small hatchback on the A1 as A1 1OUT, what a waste......

  4. Slightly lower mpg than a diesel, with petrol slightly lower in price = same cost ! A no brainer really when you consider the cosseted luxury and quietness of the IS compared to the smokey, rattly, noisy environment of the Audi. You'll be treated with more courtesy on the road too, us Lexus drivers aren't considered pushy and aggresive like the Audi and BMW brigade !

  5. So, I've had the iVIC for a few weeks now, and it still works as it should. I have not experienced any problems with the hdmi connection. I love having access to all the apps from the phone, mainly maps/navigation and music/internet radio. At the same time I have found a new respect for the layout of the factory setup. Having your phone on the screen can be really distracting, and not as user friendly as the original interface. Also, the clarity of the factory maps and navigation is actually much better than google maps (sometimes less is more). Obviously, google maps will be more up to date, though. I have tried to set up my phone with a minimalistic layout to make it easy to use on the road. The voice command systems on the phone also come in handy and is much more intelligent than the Lexus voice activation system. I have attached a few pics. Notice the "Home", "Back", "Settings" and arrow buttons on the right. You can remove them, but I find them really helpful. Swiping the screen to scroll is almost impossible so I use the arrow buttons instead. There is one thing which disappointed me a bit. I still have to use the factory hands free for phone calls. This is not really an issue with the iVIC, as you would have the same problem if you connect the phone to a tv. All sound generally goes to the external sound system, but you when you make calls it comes through the phone. I have tried every setting I can think off, but I can't get phone calls to work on external speakers, so I just use the factory hands free (not really a big deal). Maybe this is just a problem with my phone (galaxy s4). If anyone knows how to use phone calls over hdmi, please let me know.
