    End of May the power steering on my 06 GS300 failed. I was reversing onto the drive and the steering went incredibly heavy. I was about to collect wife/kids and drive down to airport for holiday in Florida for two weeks. Left keys with Lexus IOM; they collected the car and carried out the repair whilst we were away. Car was on drive fixed when I returned. I seem to recall they said they was an electronics problem with the steering and a recall was immenient.

    I have noticed this before..... Why though? Just about to place an order to trade in my RX300 for a GS300LE It will be my third Lexus. Originally had an IS200SE. I have also bought a Toyota Corolla Verso for my wife from our local dealer all through the same salesman. Bet he rates me as a good customer. I am normally a lurker on here rather than a poster.

    I would question the speed stated on a car speedometer. I recently bought a GPS system for my IPAQ and the system always stated a speed of approxiamately 10% less than the speedometer was showing. Are car manufacturers made to make their speedometers on the high side ?

    I had my windscreen replaced about 6 weeks ago. Driving along a road at 45-50 ish I heard a splat, looked at the windscren and saw a white line. Assuming it was bird ^%&( I washed the screen, but the white line would not budge. Upon close inspection the screen had cracked from underneath the top seal on the passenger side. There was no signs of stone damage, so I could only assume it had been poorly fitted. Oxley's of Douglas replaced the screen under warranty. The screen took 3 days to arrive. I/Oxleys have not heard of any other problems so obviously not a recall problem.

    I have taken delivery of my new Platinum Ice RX300 today on the day that delivery date was promised (to the Isle of Man). I ordered the vehicle of Saturday 28th June and received the car just over two weeks later. Very good services by Oxleys on the Island. I have been driving around all evening and throughly happy with the car. IS200 SE was traded in against the RX300 and got a resonable price. I think the local dealer are keen to get a few RX300's onto the Island and turn heads/create sales. So far I belive there are only 4 (one of which is a demonstrator). Opps poor topic title (must check spelling before posting )

    I have been silent viewer of these forums for a year or so now. Recently I have decided to trade in my 2 1/2 year old IS200E for an Plantium Ice which iss due to arrive 14th July (only two week wait). I would loved to have purchased the SE-L but could not stretch to the extra £10,000 I would appreciate if someone could either post or message the address for the handbook so I can read up over the next week.
