  1. yeeeeeessss buuuuuut heeeee might have started first....... ;) No supercharger as standard, i think some of the L-edition Altezzas have leather, If it has Jap Nav waste of time, won't work, they all have Air con, don't think any have electric seats as with the Altezza extra weight was kept to a minimum. I bought a tiptronic, great fun slightly slower than a manual ( 1 sec to 60 slower) but glad i did so far. Take an RS200 for a test drive and keep it reved( over 4000) and then all will be clear..... But be absolutely sure it is an RS200, not AS200......I had one dealer with an AS200 trying to pass it off as an RS, the key is RS = 4 cyliders, As = 6 ( 4 is faster ) OH and all manual Altezzas (IS200 too) have 6 speed boxes, Tiptronic has a 5 speed whereas a normal Lexus IS200 auto is only 4 speed... good hunting
  2. I was looking at this the other day......it's in the workshop tips forum section Here you go ........Remove Radio from IS200 :)
  3. Check this out instead.... Dash kits not sure about the carbon fibre, but the aluminum looks kinda nice

  5. Nice trick....how did you do that? and i was missing no.13, thanks
  6. No offence intended, but for a person who knows cars so well....how come you don't drive one.......? 60 miles in a comfortable auto on good roads might be worth it.... but if it means that you get home wrecked ......well then maybe not but....sometimes you just gotta take a chance....
  7. Wow totally weird .....i can't find no. 14.......... alot of work went into that....wonder if the guy/gal who made it had to work late.... hehe
  8. Try insuring as a Toyota not a lexus..... Edit...........Mac posted as i was typing ........me type sloooooow...hehe
  9. Auto or manual really depends on what kind of driver you are...If you like on the edge cornering then you need manual, Auto does not give me enough confidence to attack bends like i once did, but getting older now and more sensible.....but with an Auto i rule all junctions and roundabouts, Car is always in the right gear , won't bog or stall , if there's a gap floor it and i'm gone....love it...great feeling, your just about to get hooted but then they realise that your pulling away and can't complain....and when your in stop / start traffic it's just so dam easy ..... I have tiptronic but find that i seem to let it in fully auto mostly as does everything just right , if i'm flooring it she goes all the way to the red before changing, which leaves me to concentrate on the road and not the dials ....... brillant IMO :D

Ordered a new one through Toyota.....€ 130.00 inc vat. each ...so i won't be changing all of them just yet. Managed to borrow one off my nearest Altezza dealer to check....... very nice people, considering i didn't buy from them ...will probably take it to them now for timing belt change... Oh on timing belts...are there different types, mine at present is not the full width of the cogs but on the other car it was almost....
  11. Nursery rhymes for adults Mary had a little skirt with splits right up the sides and every time that Mary walked the boys could see her Thighs Mary had another skirt twas split right up the front ....but she didn't wear that one very often Simple Simon met a Pieman, going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the Pieman, What have you got there? Said the Pieman unto Simon, ......Pies, you d!ckhead. Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the kings horses and all the kings men, said F*** him, He's only an egg. Mary had a little lamb It ran into a pylon. 10,000 volts went up it's ar5e and turned it's wool to nylon Georgie Porgy pudding and pie. kissed the girls and made them cry. Im not sure exactly if the Toyota garage put in new plugs or not, what are the correct plugs for an RS200 ? Any quick way to tell which cylinder is not firing? thanks

Ok done that, all seems ok with connections and such, didn't have a long enough plug wrench to check the plugs condition though, could it be the plugs? Also there is a clicking noise coming( i think) from the throttle body....kinda like someone (in the movies) sending a telegraph....is this noise always there?.....

    Altezza Sick

Hello all, Just have my Altezza now for nearly two weeks and today as it went for it's NCT(MOT) it started to vibrate badly, by the time i got to the test center it was like driving a tractor....i put it through the test anyway knowing she would fail, can't cancel test without notice, It passed everything but the emissions.......I had explained to the tester that it wasn't well this morning...afterwards he said that it was probably the COIL PACK? that was worn out.... I had it serviced last week at main Toyota dealers.........do you think if they fitted the wrong type off spark plugs would this cause the vibration..... what kind of money am i looking at to get it sorted Vibration when car is ticking over ...rocks the whole car help
