  1. Solid rush hour 6miles a day in city centre = 12-14mpg in my 2005 RX Thats over the last 6-9months
  2. I can't get the immobiliser process to work on my RX (series 2), anybody had any luck or can tell me the correct process? Thanks in advance.
  3. I noticed a rather damp smell this weekend coming from my beloved RX Closer inspection revealed a damp carpet under the drivers seat and under the rear drivers side mat. I have checked the door rubbers which look fine, Any suggestions on what could cause this???? Could it be a blocked aircon drain, working its way back to the low point of the floor plan? Thanks
  4. Please can somebody help with this...really need to get this reset. I know some cars have a ignition sequence to do this, or can be done with a scanner (tech2 etc) Thanks
  5. I have had my RX300 for 6 mths now, and I drive an 8 mile round trip into the centre of Bristol and back during rush hour, average MPG 14.9 All these 19, 22, 24 MPG's are possible - but only on A roads. For example a recent holiday on the Isle of Wight produced 25mpg no problem, back into town traffic and you can sit there watching it fall away.
  6. Hi All, Does anyone know if the Airbag light can be manually reset (without taking to Lexus)? Many thanks Jon
  7. Does anybody know what the output is on a standard head unit (bottom CD slot)? I have tried searching all forums but cannot find out! THanks
  8. Come on guys someone must have had this sort of problem before.....I don't want to take it into Lexus just yet - I can only imagine the damage that will do to my pocket!
  9. No it does not work anywhere, i have tried that one!
  10. All new batteries - no change. The keys programme fine and work during the inital progamme sequence, really strange - what fuse is likley to affect this??
  11. Hi Guys, The other night I arrived home from work as normal, got out my car, pressed my fob to lock the doors..... Nothing happened.......pressed again....nothing happened I assumed the battery was on the way out so went in to fetch the spare, it locked the car with the 2nd attempt. Later that eve (after changing the battery in the main key) I tried to get into the car with both keys...no joy, after a couple of hours of trying and a few alarm soundings(!) I mustr have managed to open/lock 3 times. I tried reprogramming the keys, this worked and accepted the key (as some of you will know the programming sequence requires pressing of the buttons so I am sure that the batteries are ok as this completed sucessfully). However as soon as the key is programmed...press the button....nothing happens. I am now driving and locking on the key (which is not the most secure of options). I have tried the car in various places and no change so its not interferance or anything and all the doors are correctly closed I am thinking it could be the central locking module or antenna. Any thoughts????
  12. I recently got one cut in Timpsons £8 however they did miss up 1st time i went in, and I needed to go back the next day for them to finish it - but they did do let me have it for free!
