  1. I spoke to them again and Madaleine who gave Pete a quote in Dec 10 for £516 for full service and cambelt told me NO from the service manager and said NO to giving me the same price as Pete. They just would not budge. So I either fork out £900 or pass the business to another dealer in the Midlands. Any advice Ifty
  2. Hi Guys Went to Lexus Wolverhampton today to get a quote on the 100,000 mile service on my LS430. I currently have 97,687 miles on it. I got the following quotes for the service £490.00 for the service, £349 for the timing belt service and an extra £100.98 if I wanted the waterpump done aswell. I told them I was a Gold member and the lady refused to acknowledge our club. I am sure when I joined that I was to get 15% of labour and parts but no joy with Lexus Wolverhampton. She did say she would speak to the service manager if I came back in the afternoon. Lets see what happens. Any ideas guys if I am right or wrong on the discount side. i have a full lexus stamped history and I want it to stay like that. Regards Ifty
  3. Dear All I had my car converted late last year and since then have done 4000 plus miles. At the start it cost about £33 to fill but now costs £38-£39 to fill. Prices were about 52p but now I pay 66p. I believe this is a temporary blip and in march prices should drop. I still have my engine cover and I cant see the difference between petrol and LPG. I save a lot of money and I think it is a wise thing to get it converted. I got mine done from Bham autogas and get 250miles on atank of LPG. Regards Ifty
  4. I currently have a LS430 and I love it. I have also driven the GS430 Sport and that to was excellent. I only went for the LS430 for the gadgets. I know some one who has a GS430 Sport with SAT NAV, silver with 70k on the clock and is looking to sell it. I think he wanted just under £5k. Car is imaculate and interior is so clean. I dont know how he does it. regards Ifty
  5. This is a very big coincidence Pete as I was looking at Wolverhampton Lexus. They are the closest lexus dealers tome as I live in Dudley. The price is very good but I want to get my water pump done at the same time. Who did you speak to at Lexus Wolverhampton.
  6. Its a 2002 51 plate LS430 if that helps. I thought it might be as much as £1000
  7. Hi All Any one had a 100,000 mile service from Lexus? If you have can you please tell me what you paid and what was done. My car is at 91k and will be due the timing belt change with tensioners water pump etc and I just wanted an idea of the cost involved. Thanks Ifty
  8. The installation normally costs £1550 at BAG but as my friend knew him i had it done for £1450 including a flash lube kit which he normally charges £100 and a full tank of LPG (60 litres)
  9. Hi Guys I finally got my 2002 LS430 LPG converted. The conversion was done on the 15th Nov 2010 and was carried out by Mr Nuzzar of Birmingham Auto Gas oppossite Star City in Birmingham (BAG). I used BAG because a very close friend of mine had his BMW 728i converted by him three years ago. Since then he has covered 180k miles in his BMW (yes I sais 180,000 as he is a taxi driver) without a problem. He told me the conversion would take a day. A bit reluctant I went with my friend to BAG and spoke to Nuzzar. I found out that he is a big Lexus fan currently driving a LS430 himself which he himself converted. So I left the car with him andnext day got it back at 6pm. I have since then done 1300+ miles without a problem and have had the 1000 mile service done aswell. The car drives excellent and I got the following mileage first tank = 239 miles mixed driving 2nd = 222 miles mixed driving 3rd = 255 miles motorway driving (fast) 4th = 254 miles motorway driving (fast) 5th = 238 miles mixed driving. I am loving it. The system fitted is a OEBD OMVL DreamXXiN with a 72litre toroidal tank which fills up with 60 litres. Happy motoring. Ifty PS Drive safe in these trecherous road conditions.
  10. You ought to be ashamed of yourself, saying something like that!!Brian :) Brian I am extremely ashamed Ifty
  11. Hi Guys Hope you can help on this one. I need to install a parrot bluetooth kit and have purchased a SOT lead to install it. On the instruction manual it says I have to connect it to the AMP in the boot. I therefore had to kind off make my own loom to bring it from the boot to the front. What I need from you guys is "How do I route it from the boot to the dash" as I dont know how to take the trim off. How do I get the loom from the amp in the boot past the rear seats. After that it is simple to take the trim off. Any info or pics will be much appreciated. Ifty
  12. Mine is the same but the passenger one is hotter. I have noticed on the dash that it is asking for a Aircon filter change. I will get it sorted once I take it to Lexus for its first Cambelt change. Any one know how much a 100,000 miles service costs at lexus (its only done 90k but that service was done when I bought the car). regards Ifty
  13. Ok Guys I have taken the plunge and booked my LS430 for LPG conversion. It gets converted on Monday with the OMVL system. It is being done in Birmingham opposite star city and the guy converting it also drives a LS430 which he converted himself. He tells me that round town he gets about 180 miles and motorway 220 plus. He has seen 248 aswell. I will keep you guys informed. Drive safe in these awful weather conditions. Ifty
  14. I am looking to get mine done in a few weeks. Can you tell me what LPG system they used and how was the drive etc.. What did you pay? regards Ifty
  15. I have had my car now for about 17 days and have done 1800 miles on it. Most is on motorways and I do not have this problem. I can let go of the steering (not advised)at 70mph and the car will just go straight, no turning left or right. I believe it is a traking issue and can cost anything from £25 to £40. Dealers as always may charge more. Regards Ifty
  16. I've had the mirrors sticking a few times on my LS430. It's normally caused by dirt or debris getting stuck in the housing. This happens often after washing the car and particularly if you use a jet wash. You just need to clean thoroughly with a cloth sufficiently thin to get in all the gaps. I'm not sure what you mean by 'override the satnav' What I mean by satnav overide is as follows regards Ifty
  17. I expected fuel consumption but not this much. I have a Mercedes S320CDI which has nearly 200k miles of which I have done 120k.. I love the drive on the LS430 and may convert it if I get a reputable installer. I bought the LS430 ever since it came out but had my IS200. I bought the S320 and loved driving it. My brother bought his GS430 sport and I drove it. After that drive I had to buy the LS430 and here I am 2 months down the road. My brother now wants to sell his GS430 Sport and buy an LS430. LPG or no LPG I am driving this car no matter what the cost.
  18. Hi Guys Can you fit a reversing camera (aftermarket or Lexus) on a 2002 LS430. Does the sat nav screen have a section where you can add a camera vga pal or whatever they call it. I have the parking assist on my car and was wondering whether the camera would conflict with that. Any advice will be appreciated. Ifty
  19. Thanks guys for the quick replies. I have contacted a few installers for a quote including the ones up north which Pete kindly passed on to you. I willkeep you guys informed as to how I progress. So far I have don 845 miles in six days and parted with approx 186 quid in fuel with just under half tank left. Regards Ifty
  20. Hi Guys My passenger mirrorhas started to stick. It closes properly but you have to keep pushing the switch from auto to on for it to move a little. \you keep doing this until the mirror is out. Is this common and is there a fix for this. Also on youtube it shows how you overide the satnav. But that does not work on my 2002 LS430. Any advice much appreciated. Ifty
  21. Hi Guys I have just bought a LS430 Premium Pack yesterday and I am condidering an LPG conversion. If any of you have had it done please let me know your thoughts on it. I have seen a thread here on the marelli system and just wanted to know if that is any good. The installer near me uses Zavolli, is that any good. I am based in the Midlands Any advice is appreciated Regards Ifty
