how the hell do you change the diff and gearbox oil guys? and one got a step by step or lexus bible?
no need to make duplicate posts asking the same thing.........
here is all the info you will ever need - bookmark it!!!!!! http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-...ents/index.html

it is perfectly normal so ignore the comment from Liuxus

forget about the gearbox unless u have a fluid pump or a very large syringe and a length of tubing as there is no room for anything else.
diff oil is easy to change, you will need either a fluid pump again or a funnel and a length of hose to extend from the diff to the outside of the rear RH wheel arch. Again due to no access to get a complete 1 litre oil bottle there.

110km sound warning is normally fitted to JDM cars and not european version cars - i guess yours is imported???
find the beeper and cut the wire or desolder the beeper.

2nd gear crunch is due to worn syncro cones, and it a very common problem so there is a design flaw.
i have seen an info sheet saying to do nothing to the gearbox if a customer complains except change the oil. but if a customer really complains then they would confider some more work...... i complained heavily and had the gearbox replaced FOC - 5 k later the crunch came back so it is a crap badly designed/manufactured gearbox in my opinion.

do you have the TTE supercharger kit or a turbo?
if a turbo ok but if a SC kit then its a complete waste of money and time as it doesnt do anything beneficial
-
oil change wont make the crunch go away as its a mechanical problem - the gearbox is crap

the condition indicator should not be relied on as its not reliable by any means.
a voltage drop should give you and idea but as you know it wont show the battery amps condition. whats your driving pattern - long runs or short trips?
Hi Rob, it does a mixture of either a 20 mile or 30 mile commute 5 days a week, the 30 mile commute involves 20 miles of motorway.
Cheers, Martin
ok just wondering as short trips will not keep a Battery fully charged, 20 - 30 miles is plenty for that.

what could it be? its the van/car/truck in front and there is nothing you can do to stop that except have your car on recirc all the time
even then the smell wont be totally excluded.
air filter is for the engine and has nothing to do with air in the cabin

master is with 3 buttons and the valet is with 2 buttons regardless of the key colour.
if you do not have a 3 button key then go back to lex and get them to supply it... the have details of where the car came from, and your V5 document should say the same.
without a master key you can not make key copies so do not loose them!!!

i have split 6 sets of lights and i found 120C for about 15 mins was fine - its just enough to soften the sealant, if its not easy to seperate then back in for another 5 mins......... use a oven timer so you dont miss the time!
start at the wide end of the headlight and bend the lens clips out of the way.
-
when was the Battery replaced??
-
no a filter wil not stop that.... it stops large particles not vapour.
-
no chance..... if it really worked as they claim then a lot of people would have it by now......
sounds similar to the company in geneva that claims the same, but they offer no proof etc, there was some guy on here saying he had fantastic servive from the geneva company and the car ran perfectly etc etc......... more like it was a company stooge trying to drum up some business!

i believe lexus have a "real time" unit that collects to the obd and you can see what is really happening but i would suspect the problem is with the gas kit and nothing to do with the car itself.
what happens when you run the car on petrol only - assume all is ok?
-
has no one noticed that it is an AMERICAN video and they use FAHRENHEIT???
215F is 101C

me...............................remove the lpg and run it on petrol B) problem solved.
Last commennt is spot on, get rid of LPG before it mullers your exhaust valves coz it will, I had all these problems and more with my MK 2 GS300, LPG conversion made it the world's most un reliable car and cost me a fortune in 2 engine re builds, complete nightmare. No installer should convert these engines as Lexus will tell you.
did you have a flash lube system fitted???
-
yes front and back, which coil overs are you looking at? i ask because some people have had camber problems in the past
-
take the hid out first then go from there.......
-
dont go for cheap kumho brand type tyres - its a false economy
-
yes
-
uuummmmm no... total crap
-
nothing to do with the keys.....
you need to give it good hard hit that norm works....
otherwise look in thw owrkshop section - i wrote a guide on changing the barrel its a 30 min job max start to finish.

automatics have cruise control available, but the majority of cars on here are manuals which dont have cruise control - thats why u have not had many replies.
