This morning it was wierd - it wasnt icy but the roads were still slippery. I lost the back end a bit on the exit to a roundabout but me and the TC sorted it. A bit further on a sierra pulled onto a dual carriageway and fish-tailed all over both lanes just in front of me. Bet he turned a funny colour.

dunno about the midlands but I got the ones on my Cavalier done at Elite Wheels/Tyres in Reading. They did a good job. I think they just send them away though. Perhaps you could give them a ring and see where they send them - 0118 950 4100.

So they're not heated already? I wondered if they were or were just well designed 'cause I don't use much screen-wash in the water and mine have been fine. They haven't frozen up once even bombing down the M4 in minus temps.

Third Day, a US rock group (www.third-day.com), especially their Conspiracy Number 5 album which is excellent, or U2. For something a bit more mellow Dido or Dire Straits.

I've an S with the standard 16-inch wheels and the narrower tyres (and hence pressure over a smaller surface area) but they didn't help much. I was visiting my parents in Kettering at the weekend and there was a short hill at the end of their street covered in a couple of centimetres of snow. It was round a corner and on a junction so there was no way of getting a run up. I used TC/snow and the car just crawled and slithered from side to side a bit but eventually it did make it. My old fwd cavalier would have done it much easier. Perhaps if I'd had the 17's I'd not even have made it though? As for tyres I have Yokohamas A041s on the rear and a new set of Pirelli P9000's on the front. Think I might try some P9000s on the rear when they need a change - they look like they might be a better bet for bad weather.

My experience has been OK so far. I just bought some roof bars and got £30 discount by going through the salesman who sold me the car. I ordered them Friday and they arrived Saturday. I picked them up in jeans and t-shirt with my two children who climbed all over their leather sofas and played with the water fountain. Despite that they were fine - very polite and friendly. (Perhaps they're just after my next purchase - an IS300 perhaps...)

...which has its back copied from our beloved car...
Have you noticed the front and rear lights on the latest Ford Mondeo? Look kinda familiar? I guess it shows how good the styling of the IS200 is if other manufacturers want to copy it. I wish they'd try being creative and do something differnt though - I don't want my car to look like a Ford!
-
the second one looks better - some shots from different angles would help though...

thanks - that fooled me too. I'd been wondering why my username was valid in some parts of the site but unknown in others...

Does anyone like the look of the next IS200 under the news section? (http://www.geocities.com/busybeetoys/scoop/38-altezza.jpg) It looks like a ford focus to me - yuk!

Found out yesterday that we live in a "deprived area" so we'll get nursery vouchers from 3 years old, instead of 4 for our youngest. Cool. I guess we're deprived 'cause I couldn't afford the Sport trim?
