  1. Will do dude, hey ive got another 2 exhausts in my garage, was planning on selling at somepoint but never really got round to it, one just the back box and the other manifold back. Jae is at mersey island, way down south (588 miles from aberdeen). Road trip!
  2. indeed, will let you folks know when we're heading down, i would imagine probably either thursday night or friday at somepoint. Will have to stop spendin money on random stuff first, lookin at that short shifter then may have also bought another set of alloys, need to start saving for the petrol, althogh a litre of beer is cheaper than a litre of petrol which could be a problem lol.
  3. Yeh the joys of e-bay, currently thinking about the short shifter prolex have on there lol.
  4. Good to put some names to faces, excelent weather and now for breakfast lol.
  5. Dam, slept in and only just noticed the time, so much to do, so little time lol.
  6. If we have the same weather as today that'l be brilliant, been working on a rear diffuser so with a bit of luck i could have it ready for the meet :)
  7. I would come down south but is a fair drive lol. I'll be down for jae, think we managed to get ourselves our first JDMtas/MF stand so will have to pop over to see everyone!
  8. I bought the e-manage from american e-bay, think it cost me £250 or something, then there were the harnesses for it. Katana was around the 300 mark if i remember, bought from tdi. As for the mapping, well that was interesting (previous thread) and as for the AFR everthing seems to be brilliant, A lot better than before!
  9. +Manifold - Pro-Lex +Induction kit - silicone hose with the apexi filter, sitting in a carbon fibre from prolex +Larger Intercooler - katana +Sports Cat - bought from prolex +Exhaust - HKS silent +Flywheel JUN along with Helix clutch +Greddy e-manage ultimate
  10. Yeh i'll pop along should i remember lol. Been a long time since i've been to a loc meet!
  11. Not yet, problems with it not fitting around the exhaust, still not sure how it fits on to the car either, need to get my ramps back and acess the situation. This was the figure i was hoping for after the pulleys etc, decided to play it safe and just map it as there was the manifold, sports cat, induction kit, larger intercooler, fly etc and it was still running off the tte black box. Was amazed when i got it back. When the mechanic phoned up to say there was bad news i initially thought it had went pop or something but when he said it was up at 251 i didn't know what to say. I half though he'd left the pulley on or something but its still in my boot along with the injectors!! Will have to look into internals soon i think, cant help but plant the foot all the time, been stuck in a ill 55bhp escort van for 2 months, i'd forgotten what torque felt like lol.
  12. Yeh, that was why i was so shocked, after fitting them then hearin about several cars going pop we decided to play it safe till i got some internals on the go :) He never really said the power at the wheels, we ended up speaking about a 350z he was working on then ran out of time so he gave me a print out of the calcualted. But going by my previous results of 175 and 17 that equates to around 18% which would make this one around 204. Unsure if this would be the correct conversion but cannt be too far off i guess lol.
  13. Alrightt folks. For those who remember 9 weeks ago i booked my car in for some work to be done. Although we called it a day on the injectors etc it basically just went for a remap ( and a stressfull one of that lol ) These were the results, the previous run was done about 8 months ago, all done on a dyno dynamics roller which i'm lead to beliee is one of the best. Red before, green now. Happy with the outcome, and still room for yet a few ponies to escape yet..
  14. cheers mate, appreciate your help! Have passed on the info to the mechaic, fingers crossed this helps out the situation!
  15. Cheers dude, thats sort f what im looking for, ideally if it was a car specific one that would be ideal. just recieed a vehicle diagnosis file containing the ecu set up how ever i still need to get my hands on a vehicle specific one or ideally a diagram taken from one fitted to a car. please please please lol
  16. Hi folks, sorry to keep goin on about this but does anyone know of somewhere i can obtain wiring diagrams for the Greddy E-Manage Ultimate on the IS200. My cars still in the garage and is coming up for 8 weeks now!! The mechanic and i decided if there was no other solution it will be returned to standard will admit defeat. My initial thoughts is that he wired it up as a altezza but still not sure. As i mentioned in a previous thread he was waiting for a diagram to be sent from another garage but it never happened. So if anyone knows of anyone with one fitted or has a diaram of one fitted i would be really appreciative as far as i know there isn't much help or options available up here in aberdeen. I would even be willing to make it worth while for any helpfull info because as it stands im goin to be paying for it either getting fixed or put back to "standard" Im getting desperate lol..
  17. Just got off the phone to them, theres a turbo'd lex with the same set up down south going in for some work somewhere so that garage is going to e-mail a wiring diagram to see if that helps. Simons leaving on monday for two weeks though which is good and bad. Bad in the sense that it will be longer till i get the car back but to be honest it will let me do some full on research into it and if need be have all the parts at hand for him when he gets back. Will also give me more of a chance to get the required money together as im also getting new windows for the house in 3 weeks which is another 2k i gotta find lol. Ah when it rains it pours.....
  18. This was my thoughts too, will mention this to the grage and see what he thinks about it.
  19. I have seen these goin about before, unsure if they are car specific or not, going by the second document they dont seem so but when the garage emailed mohd they said there were none available for the IS200. So does this mean that another one can work?
  20. Getting confused again, this is how the conversation went ;) "Rite so it gets all the data like were the crakshaft is blah blah blah then it will tell the injectors ow long to stay open for and how to fire the spak plugs... So the idea with the piggy back is you disconnect it, the standard ecu feeds the piggy back and then you tell the engine what you want it to do. So your sort of intercepting it and lying, but as soon as you try ad lie the standard ecu switches over. Now i spoke to ****** and he said the greddy manuals on the net they do igition and injection adaptors, so basically these tell the standard ecu that everything is ok. ME: So does this mean it bypasses it? : No it doesn't bypass it, it intercepts it in a different way or somethin, im not 100% sure on that. And when i e-mailed mohd parts they simply emailed back and in one sentece they said that im not aware of any harnesses for that car. Now the way its wired in at the moment we can alter the map signal to the ecu which basically is the load refference. So the load reffrence coming from the center to the ecu we can intersept that ad lie to the standard ecu about the load. Rite, now the problem with just doin that is say in one area your getting too muc fuel, you can say the loads not that much, its not worth it, and instead of the standard ecu thinking youve got 50% throttle youve only got 40% throttle. So it wont add as much fuel, but it will aslo add ignition timing, which is what you dont want it to do, which is why you want the igition and injection seperate. So you can go in, retard the timing by about 8 degrees, fix all your fueing, tenn once thats sorted you can go back and start on the ignition timing and advancing it to a safe level. Which you cant fo at the moment which is wht i wouldn't F*** with it. And another thing with the bigger injectors youd have to change the load reffrence everywhere just to make up for the injectors wth the already advanced timing." Does this make any sense to anyone lol.
  21. This is correct mate, it is needed with the appropriate harness too!
  22. It was the garage, i think the confusion started with there not being a harness made for the is200 and having to use the universal one. My heads spinning!
  23. this was my initial thought how ever i dont have the technical know how to argue. Would it be possible that he got the wrong instructions or something? i have missed out on several oppertunities not having the car which i was guted about and that was fair enought but now that there is reason behind the doubt im beyond confused on how to handle the situation.
  24. Well from what i gathered it is because it is having to send the signal back through the standard ecu which would confuse it, the method of fixing this would be to lie to the ecu so it thinks everything is fine then to take care of the fueling etc you would have to throw off the timing by around 6% but this mean that when theres say 50% throttle the ecu would only think its like 40% thus leading to problems. Still trying to get my head round the whole situation :duh:
