  1. Well, where do i start lol. Basically the outcome is that there is no safe way of controling the injectors etc with the e-manage ultimate. It would be possible to lie to the ecu etc and retard the timing so that the fueling would be compensated but not really ideal. Looks like for this to work then it would have to be a stand aloe ecu for the job thenn it would be able to fully control the engine rather than only doin some of the work. Should i leave it or keep going, i'll wait to see what the bank account says......
  2. cheers mate, will report back tomorrow!
  3. Well i wont say how much i was quoted but it was almost double that, wish i knew this to start with, even counting the 700 mile trip i would still be better off, bet it wouldn't take 3 weeks to be returning back to what it went in with either will be keeping that in mind! I just dont really know what the problem is, the guy might as well be speaking spannish lol. Will see what he's saying tomorrow night though, getting fed up having to drive my old escort van everywhere, i want the lex back lol.
  4. The update: After speaking to greddy etc they all seem to say the same thing, the universal harness which i bought does have the capability to controll the injectors, i got the wrong end of the stick. The problem is that because the new injectors were installed the wires from them to the standard ecu have changed or something. I personally dont understand why they can't just be soldered back on, im not all that clued up on the electrical side of things and just cant picture it in my head at all lol. Going to go down tomorrow and see what he's saying, he basically said that it wasn't do-able and wants to give up by putting it back to the way it was when it went in and no doubt charge me a heap for having it there for 3 weeks and all the labour of installing all the ecu etc. By the way tunamgu my inbox is now empty, sorry, aint been near a comp for a few days, and yeh i have the tein superstreet coils, unsure how much it was lowerer by but its low enough to hit the lip off kerbs, as ive found out several times, and thats not rite the way down either, my wheels scuff when hitting bumps etc when lower.
  5. Hi folks, I've been trying to carry out a pulley upgrage on my tte s/c and had nothing but trouble since. I'll skip all the boring rant and get straight to the point, basicaly the kit i bought was a larger pulley, gredddy e-manage ultimate ( with - boost presure sensor with harness and the uiversal harness to wire it in ) Also bought a set of 550cc injectors to take care of the fuelling situation. The stuff above was all what i was told to buy from various people i spoke to etc so i spent about 4 months trawling the net trying to find the best prices etc book it in to the garage to get it done and regretted every minute since. After it being in the garage for 2 and a half weeks costing me a fortune i get told i require a harness to controll the injectors as they have been changed, this makes sense! However i then get a phone call saying that greddy do not make a harness for the injectors for a is200! He went into various details of how it coul be controlled through retarding the timing etc but it wouldn't be reliable and wouldn't preform to its full potentiol (sp?). This concerns me becuase i know that others have used a similar set up in thier cars and this is where you guys all come in, where do i go next, do i give up now and get the car put back to the way it was before or is there alternative? Does anyone know of any other solutions to the harness problem, i.e does one from another car fit etc, or should i buy another ecu which can catter my needs, i guess a standalone would be ideal how ever i am completely out of my depth here and seek some knowlage from thoes who know. Any help much appreciated guys,
  6. ALright guys, its been a while since ive been on, been working on getting another car club up and on the go. But yeh, does anyone know of a place to get the wiring diagram for the greddy e-mannage ultimate? Currently stuck in a garage unable to start, was supposed to get the car back a while ago but theres been hold ups with the intercooler etc too. Any help much appreciated! Jay
  7. So the prolex one seems like the way to go then, might go try find some pics and prices for it, may have other things to worry about though, the mot is done tomorrow morning, could be interesting lol.
  8. Alright folks, aint been on for a while now been buy at work but after all the work comes all the spending lol. Currently looking at getting some work done to the tte s/c to up the boost, was thinking of going down the line of changing the intercooler at the same time. My plan is to remove the mesh part around the bottom of the bumper and stick i nice shiney intercooler in there but thinking back to when i wa istalling it it was a tigt squeeze then. Does anyone know what the options are for one that fits? I would go and measure my current one to check but its in the garage at the moment getting the mot done, fingers cossed lol. Any suggestions welcome.
  9. If they do i'm joining now lol. Been going there for two years now and was always under the impression it was mostly garages down south that did it. Dont know why i haven't became a gold member yet, but this could be the deciding factor! P.s Good to see another fellow aberdonian on here, not much of us about lol.
  10. It would work if you could fit it in a mail box i think, if you were to try and take it down to the post office i think they might try make you pay for it. Think im going to have to give it a shot though, got plenty earth in the garden i could send lol.
  11. 8 out of 10. Forgot to click the submit button lol.
  12. Ah the power of forums lol. Cool thats cleared that up. Oh and sparkystav, how is the grounding kit did it make any noticable difference? Dont expect it to work wonders but its always extra bring under the bonnet lol.
  13. Lol, was pretty sure about that one lol. I thought it could be something like that but had never seen one fitted or had much clue what it would look like lol.
  14. Saw this a few nights back and just remembered about it, i was searching throug the net for grounding kits and found this picture. What is it the guys got fitted next to the air filter? Couldn't think what it was, any ideas guys
  15. i've had my tein superstreets for a year and a bit now, still like brand new and bein coils their easier to live with with the adjustable height and the optional edfc for fun ;)
  16. where did you get your hi flow cat from and how much was it please Good old prolex again :winky:
  17. Nice one mate, ive got one too, although isn't that silent now that i have the manifold and hi-flo cat lol.
  18. Thats ace, perfect for letting out aggression after a hard day at work lol.
  19. !Thats amazing! Dont think i've ever seen it before! Looks like a good turn out guys, some really nice cars there!
  20. Hm... usefull to know, i always thought it would be a major job changing from the se diff to a lsd. Will have to add to the cars wish list! I know this may sound daft but is there a huge difference, never really under stood how they work, completely boggles my mind!
  21. That would be great duded, just to give me an idea on how big a job it is. Ive done everything else on the car so i would be good to help keep the garage bills away. i found this on e-bay, exedy clutch Is that the same thing as you fitted jason? There is always the organic one from pro-lex but it is a good bit more expensive. As for the flywheel has anyone else bought the JUN one?
  22. Cheers for the responce mate, about having the clutch fully depressed before i put on the power, this is what i have been doin. When i was out earlier i changed into 3rd slowed down a bit went about 50 yards then went for it, once the revs reach about 3500 it beegins to slip and power delivery isn't as smooth as it used to be. I realise its unlikely that i have shredded it but when i first installed the s/c i susspected there was somting up. Think ive done about 15k with the charger on now. It was something i was planning on doin sometime in the future when i had figured out how i was goin to get more power out, so i guess i would be changing it anyway. As for the flywheel i think if i was goin to get the cutch done it would be daft not to make the most of the situation and get it done at the same time lol.
  23. Alright folks, need to clarify something before i go wild with the old plastic. I can be driving along, and for example in 3rd doing about 40mph. If i hold it there then plant the foot the revs climb quick but doesn't quite feel rite. Pretty sure the clutch is slipping. My next question is should i try and get my hands on a slightly better clutch or just go for the standard lexus one? Having the s/c etc it would be putting a lot more stress on it than it would be designed to cope with, which could be why it has started to go. Not to mention the rolling road a week ago wouldn't have helped matters any Are there any makes/brands to avoid, my only bad experience with after-market clutches are black diamod ones, i had a friend who went through 3 in 8 months, was only a 106 gti too lol. Any advice much appreciated, also would it be worth while changing the fly wheel while im at it, i was recomended to get a lightened one like the jun one but is it actually worth the extra cash for the gains? Woud make sense to get it done while it was all apart i guess. cheers jay
  24. I e-mailed the guy who runs japerformance and also carried out the rolling road day and this was his responce: Sounds as though this type of rolling road seems to slightly different to others. Helps put the smile back on my face so im happy lol. After ive carried out the next few mods i will have it r/r again somehwere different just to check though, i believe what the guys says but just for future reffrence.
