  1. i highly reccomend the megs clay, its a mild clay so as a starter clay its great.
  2. Hi mate try Chemical Guys streak free window cleaner. U can get it from www.carwashnwax.co.uk Tell David steve from sparkle car care sent u and u may get a discount. Tell him your problems with the tints and he may be able to help. Im sure the CG window clean will sort it. Good luck
  3. Yep we do which makes great debate and the reason for these forums. Although they specify 60 degrees, i do not feel this true. True do not use the zymol throughout the winter months as this is to cold. Summer months is the time for the Zymol. Collinite 476 is the winter wax because it has the edge in the durability stakes. But compared to the finish i can get in the summer months with the Zymol Destiny, i think the Zymol has the edge. However as i stated in my first post the difference is not huge. But i just think the waxes about for 20-30GBP are that good now, that u have to pay premium prices to better them. Next up for me will be the Swissol as the cleaner fluid is a grerat product
  4. Congratualtions mate. Time to get one of those recaro baby seats
  5. I found the Zymol to be quite easy to work with really, easier than some other waxes. I agree the HD Cleanse can be tricky but leaves great results. I use the Zymol Destiny wax which will last around 4-6 months which is very good for durability only matched by collinite i have found. Mothers do some good products but i dont think they are in the same class as the Zymol and Swissol
  6. Thanks for the tips. Should be an interesting trip, anymore takers?
  7. The idea was to stay in a hotel and then travel to each clients premises. If u have a central point that u know of that would be great.
  8. Hi pees the green light is finally on for the detailing trip to Liverpool. I have the required minimum amount to come to Liverpool.I still have dates free though. I will be arriving on the 23rd of April and leaving on the 29th. If anyone else wants to meet up and discuss anything about detailing or wants to have there car detailed then drop me a pm. Thanks for looking PS Any reccomendations of where to stay? And any southerner friendly clubs up there?
  9. Ok mate looks likely this will go ahead. I have 3 booked so far for Liverpool, just waiting on 2 more people then thats it. So who wants to be the first lexus from the owners club ;)
  10. If there is a lot of interest then i can possibly take a trip to Scotland to, aswell as Liverpool. If u can get 6-8 cars ill travel up to the cold ;-)
  11. Ok mate. If u want i know of a dew detailers around your area that can help u out.
  12. Ok mate no problems. Im hopefully be there around the end of March. Here is a Nissan 350Z i detailed not long before xmas, just to show you what can be done: Before: After:
  13. Hi mate, as previously mentioned above i would suggest having an interior detail from a professional. They will wet and dry vac all your carpets and condition your leather. Im sure this will remove the smell of the smoke. If u want to know of a detailer in your area that can do it then drop me a pm and ill suggest someone to you. Good luck
  14. Interiors not a problem mate. Drop me a pm if interested. Cheers mate
  15. As an introductory offer for the month of Feb i have decided to give a 20% discount on the advanced and Tailored details. Thanks
  16. The general rule is mate if u can fell the scratch with your finger nail then it wont come out with polishing unfortunatly. Detailing and valeting are similar but detailing is more about the ultimate finish, valeting is more based around time. Having said that there are a lot of very good valeters out there.
  17. Goldies can have 15% off the tailored service how does that sound? Paint correction is multi stage polishing to remove swirl marks and surface scratches etc.
  18. No problems mate based on an IS200: A standard Detail: 100GBP A advanced detail: 150GBP A tailored detail and paint correction: 250GBP These are approximate costs but i hope that helps. The services are explained here: http://www.sparkle-car-care.com/index.php?categoryid=8 What do u think? Discounts will be 10% on all of the above services.
  19. It depends on the service mte. Zafira is not to bad to be honest, the X5 i have booked in the future is one im not really looking forward to.
  20. PM sent. Usual charges range from 50-300GBP depending on what u go for and car etc.
  21. Hi mate i am based around junction 5-6 of the M25, which judging by where u are is quite far for me. Hopefully i will be going to the Liverpool area at the start of spring as a number of clients from around that area want there cars detailed. I do usually charge by the hour but i can usually give an accurate quote depending of the car size etc.
  22. First of all i would like to introduce myself. I am a 23 year old with a number of interests. First one being football then second being my job car detailing. As i was not going to make it pro i decided car detailing was what i wanted to do. I currently own 2 audis one being a UR Quattro and the other being a S2 coupe although i do like the look of the lexus, the best IMO being the IS200 :) Now to the point. I have been scrolling through the site and can see that there are a lot of owners on here that care for there cars. With this in mind i decided to contact the admin for the site to see whether i could put my detailing service forward. In return i would offer a discount to forum members and also any advice to you DIY detailers (which i encourage). My web site is www.sparkle-car-care.com so please take a look about and see what u think. I hope this post has not offended any of you as i know you probably get bombarded with people looking for cheap advertising. Thank you for your time Steve PS Im not selling any products at all just my service thanks :)
  23. I agree the Klasse AIO is a great product and one that i thin kis very hard to beat without doing a full out 10 hour detail using a porter cable. With regards to zymol my opinion is that so many wax's such as P21s are so good now, that to even get something a little bit better is going to hit your pocket hard. In my opinion using the zymol destiny it is better but only a slightly better, but as mentioned earlier u have to pay the premium prices to get the ultimate finish.
  24. Hi mate if u dont want to get a porter cable and would prefer to do it by hand i would use Autoglym Super resin polish which fills imperfections, and then top that with collinite 476 wax or chemical guys 50/50 wax. This is a temp fix though and they will reappear.
