  1. I've got a 450h in Mesa Red and I haven't seen another GS in that colour. When it's not sunny it looks like a nice burgundy/wine colour, when it's sunny it's a lovely cherry red - so you get two for one. Used to have a dark Blue 300 a few years ago and that was very nice but a little common. The really light colours don't suit a car that big - they look like bars of soap!
  2. It was manually worked out - I used to put it in a spreadsheet - sad but true. I did check the computer and on very long journeys - a couple of full tankers up and down to Scotland - and it was spot on. It does seem to lose the plot a bit with the little stuff in between and all the short journeys. I'm a lot more relaxed about things now I'm older ;) so I'm happy with what the computer tells me...
  3. When I used to have one (S reg) it averaged about 30-32mpg overall that's with 65 miles each way to work of which about 15 miles was country roads and hideous west midlands roads (probably about 3mpg on them!). I was quite impressed with them figures at the time and I'm even happier with my 450h which returns about 35mpg on the works run with aircon and everything on and about 30ish with mostly town driving (although it's possibly to take it out on the country roads and give it a spanking and get tiny figures - I just won't say how tiny though as someone will be able to work out how fast that means...). I do have a light foot though generally as I've got all that out my system with the scoobies, TTs and bikes in the last few years...
  4. No it worked perfectly the time before and the buttons were derfinitely one touch - I remember thinking that was so much easier and quicker than the older way. I'll keep my eye on it, but the poor little thing is sat in a car park at Heathrow while I'm working out in JoBurg - mind you I managed to put 1500 miles on it in just over a week - comfy!
  5. Less than a week old and I've used the sunroof for the second time. I press the button on the door handle to shut everything automatically and the sunroof stops half way and refuses to close automatically. After piddling about with the buttons I manage to get it into the shut position - the buttons now do pretty much their own thing just like the oldest sort of electric sunroof - no one-touch feature. So I gives them a call and whips in - only a 40 minute drive mind you (which as you can imagine is terrible in one of these things :winky: ). The engineer pops out, says "We've had a few do this - must be the heat" and promptly gets it working in about 30 seconds. :duh: The fix. Press and hold the Close button and keep holding it until it goes through a full cycle - then it all works lovely and one-touch is back. Apparently a similar thing works for the windows if they ever lose the plot. :P Now I'm sure mine will be the only one to do that but the info is there if you need it. Shame I can't work out how to do any more of the tricky fixes like make it lock the doors automatically or use the phone keypad while moving (for the odd time the other end asks you to press "star" or whatever).
