  1. In the end, had to have it repaired. the puncture was just too massive

Interestingly enough - Lexus use a small metal sleeve that is NON standard from yrou halford metal sleeve. The valve is normal rubber valve. Although i know you can get a total metal valve. At least, its totally repaired now. spec for spec.

    Total Costs £ 144.49

    Excellent i reckon

  2. know any decent tyre repair shops in N london?

I was thinking of going with EVENT mobile fitters..they could try sourcing the new Dunlop sport max..probably costing me in the region of £150 but they said they';'re take teh wheel off to see if it coudl be repaired first adn if so, no worries. they'd repair it there and then!

  3. Right guys! Here's a heads up on the space saver in action!

Having done 1000 miles, on a casual trip to Oriental City, Edgeware road...a lovely piece of gravel stone...decided to wedge itself into me brand new Dunlop Sport Maxx rear tyre (its so new, its hard to find in any retail tyre fitting area)

Luckily, I noticed a hissing noise only when parked in oriental city car park. So no damage to suspension or alloy. Took about 40 mins to go flat. Got the Lexus Roadside assist to change it..but abtou 45 mins today, due to lots of peeps calling in sick

So the pics will be of the tyre puncture and the space saver

  4. I am going to opt for the wax alot of thin layers option...whilst driving sensibly.. even then.. cant stop teh chippies form falling. i leave like a 10-15 ft gap behind a car in front, but people overtaking on teh motorway just looove to pull infront of the car, once they over take..effectively..rendering....the distance given....as any margin of safety...:(

Maybe I need to stick an electrical field proximity system...so peeps can just cut in too close when overtaking...

  5. I dont think it will be out. I have been driving like a nun the past two weeks. Only finally got my first microscopic stone chip today..arggh (prior to having it professionally detailed tommorow :( )

but there are loads of bloody speed bumps that the IS250 seems to handle better even at 10mph
