Hi everybody, after an absence of about 7 years I could not resist buying another Lexus, so just purchased a 52 LS 430 with 59k on the clock and in very good condition. Even though I know Lexus, it has brought that smile back to my face and I still cannot believe both how it rides plus all the incredible extras , which incidentally all work. I have an excellent independent who will maintain it for me, but of course it is going to need the major service, plus a cam belt, water pump etc, change ( for my piece of mind ). Please can anybody advise the best ,(cheapest ) source of all the original parts I will need, including all filters , oils etc.etc. The alternative is my Indy will use the local Toyota dealer. Any guidance greatly appreciated, and I look forward to a long enjoyable ownership, Rgds, Roger

I have a 51 plate GS300 and average about 29mpg. Went to Spain in Sept and averaged an amazing 33mpg across France at 80mph

Hi I am on my second Lexus and my advice to you is to save your money by wasting it on different oil than that recommended by a Lexus dealer who will use the manufacturers spec. Lexus engines are phenomenal and extremely robust. My first Lexus a Mk1 GS300 was serviced religiously by Lexus Hanley on time. I sold it to a friend (really regret selling it now) and he still has it running like new with 250,000 miles on the clock.I have the same car as you and all I do is take it in for service (still at Lexus Hanley) and drive it, that is what a Lexus is about as you will find out with time.
