    I've posted here before about mpg, but here goes. My daily run is about 18 miles - 1 mile to dual carriageway, 16 miles, then 1 mile from dual carriageway. The dc has a 50 mph limit and lots of cameras so i just wind my 400h up to 50, set the cruise control and leave it at that. On a good day I have seen 45+ mpg and will always get 40+ unless stuck for a long time in traffic .

    I think I have posted on this subject before, but anyway. My daily run in my 400h of about 18 miles involves a 1.5 mile rat run to a dual carriageway and a 16.5 mile 50 mph ride to my destination. I reset the consumption meter at the outset and am regularly getting 40+ mpg as the enclosed photo will show. I leave the cruise on for the whole run only occasionally switching off to slow down or resetting to speed back up to 50. With a light right foot this is not difficult, but it's very easy to have a heavy left foot!!

    I sometimes find myself on the motorway with a long (several miles) down straight. If you switch off the cruise control, the hybrid kicks in and you'll still be travelling at the same speed but with the engine off.

    38.9 on Friday! It's not difficult as long as you keep the cruise control on - sometimes i hardly have to touch the brake/accelerator for most of the 18 miles

    So I have now owned my '08 RX400h for a week. My daily run of 18 miles is almost entirely on a 50 mph restricted road after a 1 mile side street approach. So getting onto the main road and setting the cruise control to 50 has enabled me to get just over 37 mpg on each direction.
