I just noticed that there is water in my tweeters , i know its a common fault , but is there a quick fix.
Its your front sun roof drains blocked try putting some hot water down them first. before you start to poke anything down them to clear them.

There is no warning for front driving lamps or number plate bulbs also. As for brake lights the red handbrake light comes on.
-
No no warning for sidelight bulbs.

I thought you wouln't have missed it, Just wanted to be sure . Some of the installs at profes that I saw there was nothing on show, Leon said sometimes the problem with that is, the customers like to see what they are getting for their money. ( I suppose it also means its easier to get at if any maintenance is needed as they give a lifetime parts & labour warranty ).

Ther is a video somewhere of a stack of champagne glasses filled to the brim on the bonnet & revved up not a drop spilt & another of a glass of water on top of the engine on a rolling road taken up to 145mph & back down again same result.

Very neat, So all is revealed how you are so up on your lpg conversions. one thing I noticed is the water pipe at the rear of the black engine cover, there is a real sharp edge under the rubber seal have you got any clearance there as it will cut through the pipe if not. Just looks tight in the pics.

My longest stint was 17 hours down to south Germany 2 winters ago in heavy snow, My eyes were shot from driving 400+ miles of the 700 mile journey in deep setled snow but the rest of my was fine.
-
Could it be a sticking switch, they do not come on automatically. I think they only work with the lights on though.

Since 5pm Saturday I have clocked about 300 miles on the new Ls and it's absolutely superb. The quietest Ls I have owned so far. Not the first mkIV I owned. I had a LPG one about 2 years ago, but this one is def more quiet.
It' just the cosmetic things that annoy me now - Sitting at the traffic lights and knowing people can see your hideous wheels is not a good feeling lol
Don't stop simples.

What I was dreading has just happened. I think the starter is beginning to fail on my Mk 4. I turned the key twice to start it and absolutely nothing happened, not even a click. On the third turn it started beautifully. It started fine on the return journey too. The car has done 120K so I was expecting this to happen at some time in the next couple of years. I was hoping that when it failed it would be in the summer so I could do the replacement myself. I don't have a suitable garage in which to undertake the job, so now the weather has changed, it looks like I'll have to shell out some hard earned cash.
The battery tests fine and doesn't lose charge and is less than 2 years old. I don't think it's the starter relay or inhibitor switch either, but you never know. Also, if it is the starter, I think I will just get the solenoid and contacts changed "in situ" rather than exchange the unit as the Denso starters are known to be very robust. I'll contact the chap who installed my l.p.g. and see if he can help. Meanwhile, I don't trust the car in this state, as I could easily end up stranded.
One annoying thing- why are we being charged DOUBLE the price for a replacement starter here compared to the States? Rip-off Britain or what? Anyone had the job done to their satisfaction?
The one on mine was done at 136k on mine, It was owned by a mechanic mate of mine. He got it done by a company here while he was in he asked how much would they recon it remove & fit it for. They quoted him £100 so he let them do it , I don't think they will do another one for that sum some how.

My mate put his boxter into porshe for a service. they done the service & gave him a quote of £8000 to put the other bits & bobs right on it. He declined their kind offer as the car was only worth £5000.

Keep us posted,
the wheels you can sort & the dent if the paint hasn't broken. If you have to spend another £300 getting the damage & scratch sorted you will still have it fairly cheap & not had the expense of travelling to look at wrecks.
Its a pain when people don't admit to the car having damage its an unfortunate fact that most sellers don't.
I hope its not worse than the things you have already found, If it drives fine & you have to spend a bit all should be well.
It took me 18 months to find my first LS I must have looked at 30 of them & spent a good £500 in fuel before I found the right one with the right history it was 230 miles away.
good luck Mark.

Very nice indeed

My last ls400 had 192k when I sold it & the interior looked as new apart from the drivers seat which looked like 20ks wear.
-
Have you seen the prices on autotrader ( what they sell for may be a different matter ) but certainly on the up.
