ok ppl, was looking at earlier post 'radio stations' i think, a guy saying someone is being ripped off as radio band expander costs £35 or so, & it should only costs £20 max. got e mail from japarts or some *******, theirs costs £48 +VAT! is their any other places where i can buy one cheaper?? & u sure £30-48 prices are too expensive for radio expanders? any websites, contact details etc..... cheers

why do you want to get car completely re sprayed anyway? be probably be better part exchanging to prefered colour car. if you want re spray on car, it cost more than expected, it may need new bits like roof moudings, door trims & seals etc...... as some parts dont go back on once is taken off, not sure on Lexus/Toyota cars tho. but my old car(96 mazda 323F) roof moulding was taken off as roof was re sprayed & rubber windscreen seal, roof mouldings had to be replaced as it didnt go back on properly. mazda parts are v. expensive so lexus parts, work it out! you can leave some parts on while being re sprayed, they use masking tape to cover bit up but it leaves over spray & looks crap (most bodyshops & car dealers do this unless you tell them but charge you more as they call in specialist autoglass as things like glass is sometimes bonded in & some body shops cant remove it)& in hot weathers especially, rubber parts sometimes expand causing paintwork to flake, i seen this happen many times. i know from past experience you have to think & do everything correctly. also car de value if re sprayed in different colour, if they know it has ne way. just my 2 pennies worth cheers

i notice looking at some posts that some of you have JDM dash tray. whats special about it & where about on dash is located? is it any other use apart from storing loose change & bits of paper etc? also short antennas, i believe is standard on jdm spec altezza. where do you guys buy these 'jdm' stuff from in UK? cheers

not sure if someone already ask this before but is suspension on the JDM Altezza RS200 5spd tiptronic auto lower than uk spec IS200? reason why i say this is HKS springs only lower altezza by 26mm rear & 35mm front. anyone know why only 26mm rear? why not round it up to 30mm? with 26mm rear/35mm front. would it make the front lower than rear like a drag car? same goes with Tein springs i heard someone mention on this forum: 23mm rear & 35mm front. would 23mm not be low enough? i heard is200 sport is lower than s & se model by 10mm or so & Altezza RS200 springs/suspension is same as UK Spec IS200 sport, anyone shed some light on this? feedback appreciated cheers

of all places, i didnt know u can get arches rolled at Halfords. personally i dont trust Halfords, the service is ******* they lose yuor things & deny it! not to mention being clueless if youquestion & there products is *******.

YELLOW! i seen a v. nice Mazda '6' Sport (Atenza) with yellow calipers all round but its a yellow paintwork but calipers still stood out

anybody painted brake calipers on their is200? easy to do? obviously i need to jack up the car & take the wheels off, does calipers need to be taken off etc?? & what else do i need 2 know? what make of paint do you use?, i not getting any Halford /Ripspeed make crap.

is new RX330 performance any different from the RX300, i just looked at the toyota.co.jp site & only engine available for japan is 2.4 & 3.0 but the 3.3 is for U.S is RX330 coming to UK? i like the glass roof on the Harrier as well, i should think the UK wont get that feature either...i looked at the advertising flyer showing the top spec (SE-L) UK model that only has normal elec sunroof.

is a Altezza available in japan as 3.0 saloon? u get Altezza sportcross (Gita)estate as 3.0 in japan. i never heard of any or anyone talking about a 3.0 Altezza in saloon body style, i hear of Altezza AS200 & RS200 in saloon body styles both 2.0

friend of mine that worked at lexus car dealer for work experience at college said a customer with uk spec IS200 had HKS induction kit fitted. something wrong with the induction kit so bad that it needed a new engine! is this common?? i.e hav N E u guys came across this problem before? or is it jus down 2 being fitted badly?

ok, people, do any 1 know where to buy window deflectors for the IS200/altezza? if any1 dont know what im on about, is sometimes called window visors for side windows; front / rear doors. loadsa japanese cars in japan has them fitted as aftermarket item. i contacted EGR but didnt give me answer, onlyanswer they gave is how to order parts from them online! which wasnt what i asked!

about 2 take delivery of a altezza soon. i notice front interior doors of UK IS200 has working lights mounted on bottom panel but on Altezza those lights dont work, i was told is just reflectors, jap spec is different from uk spec. only inside lights working is dome light (ceiling mounted)& something on the dashboard when doors open. same with other Altezza owners? possible to get them to work?

thinking of buying altezza soon, choice of AS200 or RS200, i learnt RS200 is much quicker than uk spec Lexus IS200 & different engine as well. & AS200 is similar 2 uk spec IS200. japanese cars prefer 2 run on higher octane fuel that isnt readily available in uk (100 RON unleaded) only 95, 97 or 98RON unleaded in uk. i heard if some jap cars use fuel lower than 100 RON unleaded, is not too good for engine especially if that engine is design 2 ron on 100 RON unleaded? doee any 1 kno if this applies 2 Altezza both AS + RS200 ?? i mean i heard of petrol octane booster that can help or sort this out.
