I notice few yrs ago why dont us spec cars have side indicators? i know few of them got them now(dont know if it works or not!) if you look at is300, it doesnt have it but lot of people fit them as aftermarket or for the 'european look' is this something to do with legislations in america or something?

I dont go cruises, dont really see the point of it, even though im still young. people driving about with music turned up & neon lights on = er why? sure i like my cars & Sure there are fit birds down the local cruise. i prefer to socialise by going to the bar or clubbing. leaving the car home of course.

that explains why lot of clear lense on fiestas / saxos got pink rear lights at night. :yack: i sold my clear is200 fog lights on ebay , those red bulbs got more pink......& the seller i bought it from advertised it as 'bright red'(in otehr words pink) as better visiblity. what type of paint is the one in craft / hobby shops you used javadude. i bought some red light bulb paint from 'motor world or something & had to put it in the oven for certain time(according to their instruction) but within a few minutes it crackled so 2nd time i DIDNT put in oven fitted it back on once is dryed & STILL crackled within few minutes of switching fog light on! that when i had enough & sold the clear fog lights on Ebay!

had a few probs in the is200 like corrsion on the wheels(still there), gas pedal jamming & is NOT caused by the carpet i can tell ya. been sorted now & ERR3, bought aftermarket head unit. i wouldnt say had no problems when owning a car, must of had i or 2 at least no matter how minor. like saying i never lie......thats a lie.....

How much does a mesh sport front grille retail at? not looking to buy one, ive already got one that came with the car. onlt that i just saw this:front grille currently £195 not ended yet + p&p i could of sworn i seen some new ones(probably copies) costing much less than that & does the same job!

what bodykit is it that you returned? & where did you buy it from? sounds like v bad quality copy.

right i was driving 30mph on a 30 zone(31 mph at the very most but im very sure is not even that as i always watch my speed when it comes to speed cameras). & the speed camera flashed twice. can i still get done for it? on the other hand i suspect it was the car driving the opposite direction that triggered it as that car was going very fast.(i know speeding the opposite direction makes the camera flash as it happened to me before, i was going 37mph & a speed camera on the oposite direction flashed but nothing came through the post). supposing it was the car on the other direction that was footing it & triggered the speed camera am i the scapegoat in this i.e. do i get the blame as the speed camera is on my side of the road & my car happens to be there??

what type of front fog light bulbs do the is200 uses? i like to upgrade them. i quite like the yellow front fog lights on the IS300 are they just yellow bulbs? just that i looked on a PIAA usa site that states its 9006, the UK PIAA site dont even list the IS200/300! is a 1999 is200 auto, speaking of auto few people say front fog lights on auto are prone to problems or something?? so are fornt fog lights on manual is200 different from auto then?

hmmm. few of my posts been deleted/removed half yr ago or so. mine wernt advertising or offensive in any way or certainly didnt sounded like it. some even been posted in the 'non car general chat' as it wasnt lexus specific...... i know done nothing wrong.oh well ne... mind.

err.....i not sure about 'strapped' for officers. oh i live in Southend on sea, Essex by the way, the boy racer land. i know esp. the weekend the is lots of police on the sea front where cruisers are so not sure if they concentrate on cruisers but i witness lots of fights outside the clubs that is virtually nxt to sea front, few occasions(mainly wk end) when it sometimes get really bad, the police only turn up by the time its over & sometimes clubbers,drunk, are way out of control that you see few officers restraining 1 person. one time it got really bad there was a gang fight between 2 gangs outside a club & the police i should think was not present yet. few got taken to a hospital in a town called Basildon, dont know why when Southend hospital is closest & the other gang followed them there & another fight happened but this time at Basildon hospital & part of the hospital got set on fire. is things like that scares you & you think where are the police when you need them....

i disagree also, i had one on my old mazda, & no probs.but i agree yes bit on the quiet side as for no noticeable performance gains i felt the car bit more responsive & bit more thirsty but just little bit. if no noticeable performance gains & other exhausts does? quality wise ok i thought but heard is bit heavier than some other exhausts. if TTe ones is just rebadged does this mean TTE ones are not good........

i think the public lost the respect for the police now & they should ask themselve why. i mean i tried to respect the police but sorry to say cant do it. how many times when i/we called them cos of some spot of bother from a group of youths causing trouble at my mates fast food take out(were i use to work) at night? lots but few occasions they didnt even turn up or came few hours later & same with people i know in the fastfood industry. when my neighbour got robbed few yrs ago,night time nothing got stolen (thats not the point) they turned up in the morning. their kids was quite young then & they were scared.if they came straight away it may of been a piece of mind. some say there on emergency call or something if they cant attend to some trouble. i mean i got stopped few yrs ago by a group of police officers by a bus stop doint ruitine checks,only 1 or 2 was enough, nothing wrong with the car but i still had to show my documents to the police station the nxt day or within few days as i got stopped. another occasion where i got stopped was using windscreen jet lights on my last car,yea i know there cheap, tacky & illegal(this was few yrs ago when they first came out!) so he did nothing wrong stopping me but instead i got fined for it, i thought they should give u a caution first time, but it was my first offence so i just felt conned since i learnt mu lesson & he should of let me off.not sure if they caution you now or fine you even first time but this was a few yrs ago. were i live nearly every thursday afternoon a part of the dual carriageway is blocked off with at least 3 police cars & LOTS of police officers doing ruitine checks stopping just anyone. surely thats not needed & the other night i saw a subaru impreza WRX(1 person in it) being stopped by 2 police cars. i dont know what this subaru was doing/why is been stopped but few police cars wouldnt make it quicker to stop the subaru. with what i said its obvious there more focused on motorists.

didnt it have lot of bidders last time & no reserve price? it states 'dont look for faults trying to reduce money' obviously when looking at buying a new car you look to see if there any faults, the buyer should know??so there fore it be cheaper price if theres any faults?? if there is no faults whats the prob in looking, this guy would have nothing to hide. there is soooo many mistakes - you cant get a 2.0 24v as tiptronic & whats 'not avaliable on all models' but available on his???

u not bought it have ya? just ignore it.few quid for a 20bhp mod yeah right! superchip costs about £200+ that increases about 7-10bhp allegedly.if it does what it says then superchip be out of business! is like a pilot green fuel atomizer thats meant to save you fuel infact is only a magnet that clips on the inlet fuel pipe.how are these people fooled by these i dont know. back to this 20bhp mod, is just a resistor according to feedbacks oh there is lots of negative feedbacks & lots of neutral ones on these people sellling these! people sell anything these days.....

sound s like they got sweet FA to do!! on saturday night i drove past a cop car & it then pulled out & i stuck to the limit of 40mph but that cop car was tailgating me & over took me!! (it was on a single lane) no sirens or flashing lights either & was not in a hurry or on a emergency call. i wanted to beep or flash my lights on the cop car! i seen countless amoun of time of the police cars not indicating when turning but if they catch us do that they stop us & if we/i over take someone driving slowly we get done for it.. they think there superior. i dont respect them

i like the new GS. how come the new GS300 pics is only shown in LHD(america spec?) first? considering its made in japan, is not even on the official toyota japan website yet. i thought they be the first/most update on their products?? is like the RX8, the first official pics when it wernt on sale yet were LHD pictures.

£700 between these 2??!!cant be right can it??!!sounds too good to be true!!!!im 23 & i think im too young to drive a LS400, i wanna get cars like an impreza WRX or lancer evo6 in few yrs time before i think about cars like LS400 or even a GS300. a LS400 @ 21 is certainly different/individual how many people i wonder got these at UK at this age i wonder. took delivery of it yet.

what is the world coming to eh. i got my license at 18 & vuaxhall corsa as 1st car. a primera/avensis cant be cheap insurance at 17-20 y/o. & at 21 thinking of a ls400, good luck with the running costs & servicing it & did i say insurance.... now do i sense less nights out & pub trips & more debts.............

i know this quite late, halford staff dont know what they are chatting about & its a fact, i had bad experience with them on my last car, & no its not just the 1 store: my previous car they lost something of mine & accused me of stealing my own stuff! i took my head unit in(bit faulty), took them 3 weeks to give it back to me & just to say they couldnt find out whats wrong with it, they didnt even contact me, i chased them up overwise i would have waited longer & probably STILL be waiting now even though is over 2 yrs ago. they also lost the loom from head unit ALSO accusing me of stealing it so i went elsewhere to buy anther one. obviously they didnt admit it & wernt really bothered about it. fast foward to today i went to different halford store, bought some number plate bolts as old plates held on by double sided pads, not see any on display so i ask an assistant, he recommend me some bolts & said 'these are most popular type of number plate bolts used on cars today' so ok i bought them, ONLY to find out these bolts are too thin! WRONG! no they are not the most popular ones. my previous cars, mum, dads, sister & friends etc..cars use same size bolts as IS200. i wont even try getting a refund. there are other stuff like bad advice & b*****ks they given me. also my dad, sister & LOTS OF PEOPLE i know had bad experience with halfords previously. what do you guys think of them? SO ONLY GO THERE IF YOU CANT FIND WHAT YOU WANT IN OTHER MOTORIST STORES BUT GOT IN HALFORDS! another thing avoid halford brand, there headlight bulbs dont last & there 'Xenon' label upgrade bulbs is no different to normal bulbs, just high price tag. cheers

i looked at some pics of the 1993 ES300/windom & it looks very similar to the jdm 1991 toyota vista, are they the same? toyota vista has 2.0 16 valve engine, not sure if any other engine available. i know the 1989 Lexus ES250 is same as the 1987-90 toyota vista. i heard camry is same chassis/floorpan as the ES300/windom & 1987-1991 camry uses same floor pan as 1989 ES250 & camry use same chassis as vista! camry, ES250/300, vista, do they all have a link? look at es300/windom pics gallery
