OK, this might seem a stupid question (or even actually be one), but how many variants are there to a Mk1 GS300 and what are the differences?

Just checking in to see if anyone has a definitive answer on which O2 sensors I need. I'm pretty sure there are two on the manifolds at the top of the engine, each with one wire. Judging from research here on the board there is also one down by the cat, but does anyone know how many wires it has?

Anyone know a breaker that has a Mk1 GS300 in stock? I'm looking for a few small parts, including the plugs that go in the back of the OEM radio. I'm hoping I can find one that's being broken and just cut the plugs from the loom and graft them onto mine as it's been gashed up by a previous owner. Within the M25 area would be ideal, but not necessary.

Anybody out there replaced their original equipment and have it hanging around not doing anything? My GS300 has a skanky generic replacement head unit and the changer and amp have been removed. I'd like to get it back to original spec. Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, I found the problem last night. It was a blown 10 amp fuse...in the bank behind the battery. :) Look forward to receiving those teeth... :D

Yeah, I tried that, but as I said, all fuses look good. Does anyone have a map of what fuses do what?

My radio stopped working today. So did my boot release, aerial, courtesy light, electric steering wheel adjuster and central locking. Also, the trip counters both reset to zero when I turn the ignition off. I'm guessing that all these things are protected by the same fuse, so I had a look at the fusebox down by the driver's foot well. All fuses appear to be good, but logic tells me it must be a fuse at fault. My fuse bank has no cover and no map, so there is no way to tell from the outside which of the fuses control these items. Does anyone know which of these fuses I need to change in order to get my bit working again? Or is there another fusebox somewhere else...? Thanks in advance.

OK, so it's pretty certain I'm going to need to replace my O2 sensors. To be honest, they are so cheap it seems ludicrous not to on an engine that has covered the miles mine has (172k and rising). So, the question is: This one, this one, this one or this one? I looked at what I think is the O2 sensor on the manifold on the left as you look at the engine and this has 1 wire, so that would be the first one shown here, but are there any more? Am I right in thinking there are three? If so, where are the others and do they have more wires? Thanks in advance.

I run it until it starts to lose power, then switch to petrol, but you don't have to run it empty to get an accurate fuel consumption figure. Fill her up then zero the trip counter. Run until you're nearly empty them fill her again and take a mileage reading at the same time. Mileage divided by litres = mpl (multiply litres by 4.56 if your brain works better in old money). This will give you a reasonable idea straight away, but for more accuracy do it a few times and take an average.

Yep, just run her 'til she's empty. Mine doesn't switch over automatically, it's a manual switchbox. Maneesh, thanks for the tip re diagnostics. Is this something only a main dealer can do, or...?

I bought a 1993 GS300 recently and I think the fuel economy should be better. I'm getting around 110 miles out of 40lt LPG around town, which equates to about 11mpg! On a run I can get about 165 miles of of a 40lt tank, which is better, but still not good. The car has done 172k miles and admittedly the lpg conversion makes the miles cheaper, but still... :o I've been perusing this fine forum and I've learned a great deal already, but I still need to clarify a few things. 1. o2 sensors: Do these affect the lpg consumption as well as petrol? How many have I got? Where can I find it/them? If there are more than one do they all need changing or is there a specific one that will improve mpg? What's the best place to buy it/them? I found some US sites selling them pretty cheaply, but some of them refer to "Calif". I presume California have different emission laws to the rest of the Sates, but is this something I need to bear in mind when purchasing? Are they easy to fit? 2. MAF sensor: Does this need replacing or just cleaning? Is it an easy job? 3. Other things: Are there any other things that I could do to improve things - i.e., other sensors that might be dirty or worn out? Sorry to bombard you all with so many questions on my first post, but I'm kind of desperate... Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this.
