Of course when gas hits $7/gal here he'll be laughing at me.

Its more than $7/gal over here ($10.08 this morning, UK gallon) but think I'll stay with my Lex.

This is why I went to gas!

I was ready to sell mine, before I realised that I'd end up with a worse car and I'd lose more than the cost of the conversion through the fact that the bigger engined cars have gone down in value so much.

No way I'm giving my baby away for that!

Why not keep the Lex and get a little van to run around with your stuff?

I would have to have a VERY good reason to swap my GS for either of those

OK I've always had this down as one of those things that birds do as the heels on their FMB's or FMShoes are too big but a mate of mine swears by it and gave it a go!

Bit weird but have to admit I like it - and luckily it's a summers day so I had all the windows open to get rid of the smell :D

Any of you lot do this regularly then?

It's not that we can't drive in our FMB's, it's just that we don't want to ruin them! :winky:

Any chance of more details of what system you went for and the cost?

We went for the BRC system. It's a phase sequential system so it automatically changes over to gas once the revs are right, the engine temp is right and the gas temp is right, but it does it in sequence rather than all at once. It still only takes a couple of seconds, but it is smoother.

The cost was £2323, so we paid more than you can get systems for elsewhere, but tbh we'd rather pay more and have a better system. We really didn't want to go for a cheap system on the Lex. Plus the guys are only 5 mins from where I work so any probs they are right there.

Yeah very pleased. The guys who fitted the system had worked on the 300 engine before so that was comforting to know.

Well we got the GS converted and we're VERY pleased so far.

Seems that with the fuel shortage at the moment it was rather fortunate timing!

We're getting the same MPG at the moment and no noticeable loss of power.

We did pay for a more expensive system, but with prices as they are and our driving paterns, it should pay for itself in 44 weeks :)

I think driving nude is a bit much too soon. I would imagine it could start with bare foot driving though. Then it could be shirtless, then trouserless, then say going from boxershorts to briefs, then a thong. There also might be a health risk involved in this. Us lucky people with air conditioned seats might be alright but imagine trying to peel yourself off your seat at the end of the journey.

Now I need an honest opinion. Have I looked too far into this?

I have to agree..... Black leather seats on a hot day and a little skirt. Ouch!

Well, my mate said her driving instructor recommended driving without shoes on, so if it's illegal then he's naughty!

I have to say most days I wear one heel and one bare foot. The bare one being the accelerator pedal. Mine's auto, so don't need to worry about the left heel getting broken! Lol x
