well i sold the silver 300 and bought the black one, which is same year(2002) has lower mileage(JUST 45K), cheaper and has dvd sat nav and only 1 previous owner...will be picking it up tomorrow and ill post some pics, plus with black it looks nice once all polished and waxed(well thats my reason for the swap.. )

yea, cant stop smiling.. quick question, the alloys on the car are they 17" or 18"..im not quite sure. Also when in "manual mode" say im in 5th gear and im coming up to a junction - slowing down, and at this point say im doing 10mph..and suddenly i put my pedal to the metal, will the car automatically shift down(like porsche tiptronic) to a lower gear for more accelation or will i have to change down?... Thanks

ive just hpi'd the car using hpi check and the car has come up with "mileage discrepancy". ..everything else is clear i.e not a write off..no finance owed..insurance clear etcc. is the mileage discrepancy something to be worried about?.

well after a few of test drives in is200's, i felt that it was not enough power for me(coming from a cayenne), so i took a test drive in a is300 yesterday(04 LE) at local lexus dealer..what can i say... wow - what a difference compared to the 200. so powerfull and smooth as a babys' bottom. ..id say it would out accelerate a v6 - 3.2 litre cayenne- model i had. auto box- boy its smooth(E-Shift is fun too). power delivery is awesome....got it up too 125mph, even at that speed the ride was smooth as silk. gonna put deposit down friday, hopefully ill have it late nxt week...cant wait.

if u cant get your hand up behind the bumper, you can allways use something like the plastic end(handle) of a screwdriver, and gently push it out. ..its a easy repair too do, but you must take your time and not get the plastic to hot as it will loose its shape. ive done loads of them, not on a is200 though.

where the high spot of the dent/crease is, you can reduce it by heating it with a hot air gun/ hair dryer and pressing it down with a flat surface. and if you can get access behind the bumper u can push the dent back out aswell. IF YOU ARE GOING TO ATTEMT IT - BE CAREFULL NOT TO MELT THE BUMPER.

its not jus lexus paint thats soft, its all manufactors paint as all cars are painted in water-based paints these days. im in the bodyshop trade u c.

jus wandering, if u put another person(not ur self) on as a main driver on the policy. say i put my partner on as main driver and me as second driver, would i be able to build up my no claims bonus, or is it just main driver? Thanks

seen a few, and after driving a couple i felt i wanted a bit more power(as im after a auto), so i have now decided to get a is300, going to view one on wednesday... any tips on what to look out for on the 300?

ive been lookin at autotrader(now raised my budget to £10k) and have been looking at the is200 limited edition..what is limited about it? also if i was to get a is200 and wanted to fit a body kit(standard lexus one), how much roughly will it cost any info would help cheers!

as it gonna be a run around..and used for my business no more than £6k..(£7k if its got a decent body kit) as its gonna get used and abused.

yeah, im trying to get the 2001 onwards model, but some car which are on a v/w or x plate have the minor changes. dont they?

its on a V plate..not to bothered about sat nav..jus wanted to know if it was dvd or not as seller did not know.

Hi, Im thinking of buying a used is200, either the SE or Sport spec. i have not yet test drove the is200 just been looking at the price'es., as i have not had the time(busy with work) What i want to know is- how much of a difference in handling is the sport compared to the se? and is the sport worth the extra money? and also from what year did lexus modify the cd player i.e put the cd above the display? im basically just gonna use it to get to and from work as we have more than one car in the house, so for example would a is200 thats done 120,000 miles, be just a good as one that done 50,000 as long as its had a good service history. we have 3 toyota's at the mo so i know that the engines r bullet proof, as one of them is touching 200.000 miles and all its ever needed replacing are the brakes and pads every now and then, and the clutch at 90k, thats it!.
