  1. Hey Jamboo that creaking by your knee could be the leather gearstick surround stick your fingers in the leather between gearstick and surround when driving mine drove me nuts because the leather rubs together. fixed it by using meguirs nxt intereor protectant. stops the leather rubbing together completely and also makes your plastics shiny as an added bonus
  2. Hello and welcome Had the sensors fitted when i bought the car but think they were about £400 inc fitting. they also do not show on the display when reversing they only beep unlike what it shows in the manual but they do the job just fine just check the paint job when finished as they have to spray them. Also a bit off topic keep an eye on the inside track of your front tyres they wear very fast and you could come a cropper and if possible fit some eibach lowering springs the ride change and handling is unbelievable and good replacement tyres are Falken fk452 you can fit 255/45 on the rear and 235/45 on the front amazing grip and half the price of stock items and much better. don't use that 6 gear until after your 10k service its a waste of time and is completely different after. if your into modding etc drop a reply and can tell you what works etc. Above all ENJOY the ride it does get better with time.
  3. i have the same trouble too. wheels need cleaning every couple of days. my disks and pads seem very worn too for twenty k so have purchased some new rossini performance drilled/grooved disks and mintex pads as these were the only pads i could find. all in total cost £280 not fitted. you can also get 8 pot K-sport big brake kits now but they are a bit pricey at around £1000 plus fitting but they would look the bis.
  4. thanks for the vote of confidence on the exhaust Tango i think it looks pretty good too. and the scuffing is also right along the bumper too where the lid meets. going in for a service soon will call them first to arrange a repair on the bumper and also kick ***** about a dent that appeared in the wing while in the care of the bodyshop. nobody gives a damn about other peoples property these days.
  5. not really the wife decided to inbed the rear into a minibus, thankfully no real damage but a good excuse to replace it with the 250 bumper and get the powerflow exhaust made and fitted. hope you guys think it looks the part.
  6. Hi guys Dont be using anything too harsh on them leather seats the paint will come right off and that includes skin care products. i use Gliptone cleaner and when dry use Gliptone conditioner. these products are not available from high street stores but are on the internet, just google search for it, not to bad prices either. store bought products are rubbish at best as you have to wipe off the excess residues. if it worked properly the product would soak into the leather to condition it just like Gliptone does and not scrubbing off the crap left over from all your hard work. BUY GLIPTONE if its good enough for Rolls Royce, Bentley etc etc its good enough for our Lexus' AND IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN. twenty thousand miles and still perfectly as new condition, have kids too. Guitareth ditch that mer the holes are full of residue probably and use a cocktail stick gently to clear the holes i had the same trouble.
  7. Hi guys Had a new rear bumper fitted a few months ago. the parts price is spot on and the painting through lexus, well toyota actually did the paint job and fitted the parking sensors and bumper back on as recommended by lexus to keep warranty etc. TOTAL COST including parts £580 inc VAT bargain not! So there you have it and hopefully the picture below for viewing. PS if bumper fitted incorrectly the paint chips on the upper corners next to the bodywork and major scuffing on the upper part of the bumper where the boot lid hits it also causing damage to the boot lid edge. thank the lord for that warranty.
  8. Thanks for the info. Replacing the disks and pads because they are very worn and expect to get pulled on the next service in 4 weeks. would like to fit better brakes overall because i think they could be better. Had to fit full set of tyres today tho, got stopped by mr plod. Falken FK452 235x45x17 front 255x45x17 rear already well scrubbed in and haven't let go yet even on my favourite drift type corners. they even seem less noisy too so check them out i would recommend them totally and they are much much cheaper than the bridgestones and better in my opinion. Also i have sourced replacement Rossini disks which have a good write up so any info on these would be good. having trouble with the pads nobody seems to stock them although mintex web site does list them, so any ideas here would also help. ps got to take the cheap option because it seems i have another mini me on the way.
  9. Hi everybody need a little help. could anyone tell me if the UK spec is250/220d is the same spec as in the USA as there are tons of brake parts and big brake kits available for these models across the pond. I would like to know if the vast aftermarket USA disks, pads and calipers etc can be fitted to my UK model without modifications. many thanks guys Neo...
  10. Jamie, The garage people did the job for me B). Obviously I feel the braking a bit lacking (especially when fully loaded) so I look for a more powerful grabbing unit. This IS350 unit comes in hand which needs mininal modification except that not all types of wheel rims will fit because of the large size calliper. TK Chan Hi i'm a newbe with no car sense. did you say that the disks and calipers were from the GS300 and needed absolutely no modifications as i also find the brakes lacking in feel etc. i have also had Goodridge make me a set of stainless steel braided hoses which will be fitted next week. so any of you guys want some braided hoses contact Goodridge direct as i provided them the pattern part and they are not on any websites yet.
