  1. hi guys today i got 2 x inner track rods fitted and laser tracking done to my 2004 LS430. Lexus wanted £300 just for 2 x rods but in the end i bought them on ebay for £70 for both. post any thing you have done to your car today. this thread continues.....so if you do some thing to your car tomorrow, post reply tomorrow and so on.... so what have you done to your car today then ? :)
  2. right so here is some update. my both covers are fine and tight. after many searches online, conclusion is that you have to take bumper off. I cant be bother with taking bumper off so I came up with alternative, Im not sure if its right or wrong but did the trick so i am happy so far. Obviously there is some gap or leak somewhere causing moisture / water / air to get in. I though what if I make some room for cross ventilation. I drilled small 4 x holes in round plastic back cover which covers main HID bulb. Holes are tiny but big enough for air to get in / out but not big enough to let bugs etc in. Within 4 hours moisture disappeared and light is super dry now and no more moisture at all :)
  3. hihihi...i was asking about front windows, back are fine and blind are only at back. front ones not tinted to me it feels like some one has done half a job.
  4. right so here are few pics. I went with 35% back windows for just now. front two i am still not sure. what you rekon guys, go for 50% front or 70% or leave it as it is. also small LS430 chrome decal at back doors. front LED fog bulbs, but they turned out to be not too bright, I'll see what they are like at night time.
  5. all new cars now a days come with mega bright day running lights, in fact some of them are so bright they are worst then some fog lights but you get away with it because they are factory fitted day lights. why do you think they introduced day running lights ? why not just side lights and low beam ? Im not being cheeky here, it is valid question i have in my mind.
  6. Both covers hmmm thats very good point. i noticed small bugs inside headlight so must be some big opening some where. i found this link, some great help. http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2004_Lexus_LS430_4.3L_V8/lights/daylight_running
  7. good suggestion, but my worry is this moisture will eventually blow my ballast or HID bulb. moisture / condensation building up every few days defo not good for ballast or bulbs
  8. LED fog lights bulbs are not that bright to dazzle oncoming traffic. My idea is to use them as day running lights. some new cars now a days have got crazy bright day running lights, i mean bright enough to dazzle oncoming traffic.
  9. right, so after getting some feedback from you guys and other forums I have made my mind up. so here is my list so far. 1. 35% tints all round 2. wind deflectors 3. front 501 side light LED's 4. Front fog lights 9006 LED bulbs 5. Rear number plate LED bulbs 6. Front and back Aluminium pressed metal plates 7. Interior LED upgrade 8. Trunk / boot light LED upgrade. Pics to follow soon. Im on hunt for some nice alloys, until then OEM alloys would do :)
  10. hi guys every time it rains i see moisture inside headlight, so plan is to take head light out take it apart clean it and reseal it. I know you have to take bumper off but is there any other way of removing head light without having to remove bumper ? or any other moisture fix ? thanks
  11. I tried " I agree " today but didnt work well for me and every single time set climate control to 30 Degree then i said "screen off " and she understood straight away. also volume knob to adjust locking unlocking beep also doesnt work for me infact i dont get any beeps at all.
  12. Hi Guys, It took me ages and lots of online searching to find some feature tips n tricks here n there. I have hand picked few ( hand clicked :) )which i really liked. so here they are. If you have any thing to add please feel free. Thanks When you put the L/R mirror on and you put your car on reverse, the mirrors turn downwards allowing you to see the floor behind. If you hold the unlock button on the remote down for more than 2seconds all the windows roll down There's a rotary knob underneath driver's side dash that adjust the loudness of the beep when you lock and unlock your car ( i have not tried this yet ) Smartkey: If you leave the key inside the car and try to lock the vehicle using the door buttons it can detect the key is inside the car and warns you with a long beep ...how does it know whether the key is just inside the door or just outside in your pocket? Beats me. Smartkey (2): You can assign seat setting presets to each individual key (husband and wife for example) by pairing a key with a seat position preset button (1, 2 or 3). From then on whenever that key unlocks the car the seat will automatically adjust to the right position without having to press the seat memory button. Bluetooth Phone: You can get around the "can't dial when the car is moving" problem by simply dialing the number from the phone in your pocket - it will still come through hands-free once the connection is made. Bluetooth Phone (2): If you have a PDA that uses your bluetooth phone to sync it won't work while the phone is connected to the car. To get around this temporarily you can tell the car to try to connect to a different phone that you have previously paired (just borrow one for this purpose). As it attempts to pair with the other phone (the other phone doesn't have to be present for this to happen) it will release the current phone and therefore allow you to sync your PDA. Just reverse the process to pair the phone with the car again afterwards. Bluetooth Phone (3): If you switch off the car during a handsfree conversation the phone will offer you option of transferring the call back to your phone to continue it (works on Sony Ericsson T610 at least). Door Storage Pockets: You can actually pull these and they will swing outwards 45 degrees to more easily get to items. I Agree Button: You can get rid of this prompt on the Nav system by saying "I agree" into the voice recognition system when this screen is first presented rather than pushing the button. Be aware the voice recognition system in the LS430 isn't all that great (as you know) so it might require a few attempts until it correctly acknowledges the command. Rear massaging seats will change speed if you hold down the button The 3rd button bellow volume controls on sterring wheel is preset volume memory button. set your volume to where you want it tobe then hold the 3rd button down for about 5sec untill you hear a beep. (I got my set to very low volume, so i can just tap it when i need to answer my cell) Don't forget the little roll of material behind the rear view mirror to keep the sun out of your eyes. Just pull it down...how neat is that
  13. yea thats what i meant i need fuse description. nothing on covers, as if someone peeled them off or god knows
  14. Hi guys 2004 LS430 inside car there are 2 x fuse panels in footwell, left side and right side. for some strange reasons diagram is missing from my both covers. would someone be kind enough to take pictures of both covers and post here plz. my front cig lighter not working and i need to figure out whihc fuse is which and handy to keep pictures for future ref many thanks AJ
  15. oh and bought some aluminium pressed metal number plates, will post pics once fitted.
  16. i think to start with im going for 35% all round tints and some LED bulbs going to think over wheels etc
  17. i posted same question on some other sites. majority so far is in favour of stock look, and some say go for full VIP look. so basically leave it as it is or spend thousands. I was also wondering, when time comes to sell it, it would be much easier to sell it as standard clean car.
  18. what you think guys ? I quite fancy black wheels with full tints red calipers and smoked lights full tint is not very cop friendly , i know that :)
  19. i would do these check battery in remote check fuses last resort, disconnect negative battery terminal for 10-15 min and hopefully reset should do the trick if its electrical glitch.
  20. good idea. i do have some invoices etc recent one showing timming belt change etc so not too bad. manual etc just service book missing.
  21. Lexus garage systems are not linked together and I cant even trace back any history. I called lexus Edinburgh and they told me this car doesnt exist in their service data base.
