  1. Looks like the same deal I got from the 'bay. Keith is right, the finish from Meguiars is the dogs!! The difference in the paint just by claying was worth every penny. Enjoy your detailing, Moody.
  2. Keith Seller is UK based and delivery was within 4 days. Heres the item ;porter cable clicky
  3. Hi Keith Got mine from ebay on a buy it now. £130 with 5x Sonus polishing/buffing pads.Only problem is the porter cable comes with an American 2-pin plug 110 volt socket.Buyer also supplied 2pin to 3pin 110v British type extension lead for £20 so as not to viod warranty by cutting off the 2pin plug. You just need to get hold of a 110v transformer and jobs a good 'un.
  4. Just recently bought a Meguiars bargain bucket off E-bay, containing the Deep Crystal 3 step polishes and the Clay Bar with Detailing Spray, also included was Tyre Dressing Gel and Glass Cleaner. The paintwork on our Lexus is 6 years old and I have previously used Autoglym resin polish but was never really taken with the finished result. I used the Claybar and Detailing Spray and could not beleive the result. The paint was transfered from a rough sandpaper like texture to a smooth glass like surface. After using the other products in conjuntion with a porta cable orbital polisher, the car has been transformed and the paintwork now has a mirror/wet look to it. Would definately recommend mequiars products for Lexus detailing.
  5. Just got back from a visit to Dr.Tony's WIM workshop. First off can I say what a very profesional and approachable guy he is. After reading the threads about the inherant fault with standard Lexus geometry settings, I didn't think that this applied to our Lexus, as on first glance the tyres looked fine. After putting the steering on full lock so I could see the full width of the tyre I was shocked to find a 25mm wide totally bald and badly worn inside edge on the drivers side tyre. I sent tony a PM (out of hours). He immediately responded and told me that this was as a result of the original incorrect Lexus geometry set up. I then arrange a visit and today have had the geometry corrected. Tony encouraged me to watch him carry out the process to see exactly what each adjustment was doing. Adjustments were required to both the rear and front suspension, the front drivers side needing over one degree of adjustement (pretty serious amount). After adjustments were finished and a clean bill of health was given, he advised us that the car handling and braking would feel different and to exercise caution. Could immediately notice a vast improvement in braking, also the car handled much better especially over uneven road surfaces. Overall the car seems to hug the road much better and inspired more confidence whilst driving. I would urge all LOC members to check their tyres and would definately recommend a visit to Tony's WIM. A thoroughly worthwile visit and a top man to boot!
