  1. I'll try, but it looks like the connections are hard to get at. Can hardly fit my hand in.
  2. Many thanks for the reply Colin. I suspected something like this. I suppose best way to find out is to take out both DRL and switch them over to see if the one thats working works when its plugged into the one thats not. Is it difficult to get at these lights? I suppose there is only one way to find out.
  3. Hi, I have a 2014 IS300H Sport. When the car is turned on only one of the daytime running lights works. I've checked the fuse box in the engine bay and checked the fuse board in the passenger foot well. I can seem to find anything that related to DRL. Is there a fuse for these lights? Are they fused individually? Or are they run off some module? Is it possible that the fitting itself has failed? Thanks
  4. Ok rang lexus, big problem needs a new ecu to be paired with the keys so were talking big money. Was thinking that I might of locked the keys into the booth, is there anyway to open the booth with out damaging the car. Sorry to hear that :( very easily done. A new remote and cut key will cost £214.01 inc vat plus the cost of programming. Andy
  5. ok i lost one of my keys not so long ago on a night out, so i was down to one key. I went on holiday last tuesday and i hid my spare key somewhere in the house (i think). I seem to have hidden it so well that i cant find it, complete disaster have torn the house apart looking for the key but no joy. I am going to spend another week looking for it, but if i cant find it what price am i looking at for new keys? Car is IS220D year 2006. Thanks
  6. hello, i have a problem with my is220d year 2006, is220d se i;ve done a search and cant find an answer. The problem started happening a while back on and off, when i put car in first gear and put foot to the floor the car jerks around 3-4000 revs wont go higher without jerking badly This happens in second gear aswell. I think it might happen in all gears but its just noticable in first and second because it revs up high easier. The problem now happens all the time, when i put the foot down the car jerks and wont rev higher, have to change gear. I did a search there and seen a problem about carbon building up on the cat etc, Just wondering has anyone else experienced this problem or know a solution. Thanks
  7. Hello, Over the last few weeks i'vew noticed that my is220d has become very sluggish on take off, until it hits the turbo. The mpg are not great either, I use my car for going in and out of work, so only small trips. I am thinking it could be the erg valve blocked or something to do with the air flow? There are no lights on the dash. Anyone got any other ideas?
  8. hello, i posted a topic a while ago about a rattle coming from my engine, after stripping the car it turned out to be the a/c compressor one of the fins for the electric clutch on the compressor had broken off, small job but i ended taking the whole thing apart. anyway i have it all back together now, it just needs to be regased and vacumed, question is which way does the crank shaft pully turn? and second question is how much coolent does the car take as i had to empty it Thanks Cathal Car is is220D 06
  9. Hello, i have an is220D, have it about 8-9 months now and no problems to report. Today i was drving out of the drive way and someone said there was a noise coming from the engine. So i popped the bonnet and i could hear a knocking/ ratteling noise coming from the engine, when i rev the engine the noise goes away or cannot be heard, i drive back from the shops (engine warm) and i cant hear the noise anyone, There is 98k on the car it sounds like the noise is coming from the front of the engine where the belts are so maybe it could be the water pump?? is the water pump located on the bottom right of the engine (the pully on the bottom)?? or any other ideas what it could be? Thanks
  10. hello, car went into limp mode and check vsc and engine light and traction light came on, did a search there and found out it could be any number of things. so instead of going to dealers which is a few miles away (dont want to drive that in limp mode) just wondering what scan tool is compaitable with the is220d is it OBD II? thanks Cathal
  11. i've the 220 se model, happy with it so far only been driving it a few months, the 6th gear can only be used on motorway but i hardly need to go past 4th all city driving. Overall i like the car and would recommend it. as said above test drive the car and if you like it get it and if you dont, dont.
  12. serviced the car yesterday, no probs, jacked up the car used jack stand to hold it up, removed 14mm screw on the sump and drained the oil, You do not have to remove the plastic cover that protects the bottom of the engine to get at the oil filter, all you have to do i remove 3 screws and take off the plastic cover, to remove the oil filter you need a special service tool, i did'nt have this but just used a chain grips to unscrew the filter cover, remove this and drain the oil from there also, then replace with new filter and put sump screw back in with new washer, and it takes 6 liters of oil, i used 10w-40 oil.
  13. 6 liters i think, but all you have to do is fill and keep checking dip stick if your not sure. i'l be doing mine tomorrow so i'l let ya know
