  2. So, in the above list from fluff34567, temperatures aside, when would I want 10W-30, and when would I want 15W-40? What does the factory recommend? When I was still in the US, the factory would always recommend one oil grade for a particular engine, unless your usage conditions falls outside what was considered normal usage for the majority of people. Seems getting that information out of the local dealers is next to impossible. They'll just tell you what *they* recommend, which is usually whatever they happen to stock. They are evasive when pressed for the factory recommendation. Thanks, -Ben
  3. What about the wheel locks for the US spec IS300? They're reasonably successful in preventing theft in the US. In the end though, nothing will stop the determined thief. http://www.lexus.com/lexus/showroom/model/...p?modelName=ISE Scroll to the bottom of the list. The outer surface is round, with no edges for anything to grab onto. Of course, this is also not that secure if the thief happens to have the master set of all the keys, although these master sets are kind of difficult for non-dealers to get. -Ben
  4. Thanks for the replies. I'm in Taiwan. It gets pretty hot in the summer, where temperatures in the 30s (Celsius) are quite common. Right now, we're still getting winter temperatures, which are around 12-19 Celsius. -Ben
  5. Hello, Were Black Pearl emblems available as a Lexus OEM/Factory option in your region? It's available on the US IS300, but not in my local market. The US emblems would work, except for the "IS300" script, which is what I'm looking for now. If they were available from Lexus in your country, let me know! Thanks, -ben
  6. Hello, Anyone know what the proper factory recommended oil weight is on the IS200 w/ the 2.0 liter I-6 engine? I can't seem to find it documented anywhere underhood, and I don't have the owner's manual. The local Lexus dealers use a one-size-fits-all solution and all cars serviced by them get 0W40. That just doesn't sound right to me. They told me I could bring my own oil next time, so I need to know what the factory recommendation is. Thanks, -Ben
  7. About 10.5 km/liter or 25.9 miles/gallon -Ben
  8. Yup, Taiwan is a bit far, but I've got an LHD IS200 here. The official website is: http://www.lexus.com.tw and the IS200 & IS300 are at: http://www.lexus.com.tw/model/is300_200/exterior.htm It's all in Chinese though.... -Ben
  9. Hello, What about the wiring? Any wiring changes needed to make this work, or are the connectors the same? Thanks, -Ben
  10. Anyone know if the OEM units from Japan will work? I'm talking the entire headlamp housing. If so, what kind of wiring changes are needed, of any? Thanks, -Ben
  11. Is it a direct drop in? Or are wiring and connector modifications needed? Thanks, -Ben
