    @Ishy - tyre size don't mean anything if you if people get more negative or positive offset wheels to you due to clearance etc :D what kind of look are you after? wheels poping out of the guards? wheels flush with the guards? keep in mind stock wheels are 17x8 +50. HKS D1GP aristo/GS300 as we know it (JZS161) runs 19x9 +38 Front on 245/35R19 tyres, 19x10 +35 rear on 275/30R19 tyres. but yeh if your car is a daily drive 8.5 front 9.5 rear would be good. don't remember to use search functions on forums though :D but here you go from club lexus

    yeh they are quite similar :) your wheels are similar to the meisters where as the SSR professors have more of a flat face. heres the fabulous wheel (kinda common I know :P) but like I said before your car is "WOW" haha always considered the jzs161 to have a lot of potential

    tried, plugged the light in and still the same. I guess the diagnosis is a busted dimmer.

    yes, the lighting is earthed at various points, one of the points it at the centre console with the ashtray lighting alright I'll give it a go and see if pluging the light back in will fix the problem. I havent had it plugged in for quite sometime now because I put coins in the ashtray and man does it heat up with the light on.

    those wheels aren't really my taste. needs SSR Professor SP1 OZ Scara by Junction Produce Work Euroline Fabulous Wheel or something custom with heaps of dish

    could me having disconnected the light for the ash tray have anything to do with it?

    Tail light relay is on the back of the fuse board. oh ok and defogger relay? Same. hmmm no idea how to get it.

    Yep, should be on the same side for you too. What year is your car ? late 2003

    Lol, I will do - I don't doubt it, just seems odd to behave that way checked and no idea where the tail light relay is but panel fuse is fine

    which fuse should I check? and how would I know if the relay is stuffed? It's labelled "panel" on the diagram on the inside of the fuse box lid. As for the relay, you could at least check that it's not making a buzzing noise (which would indicate that it's stuck). I will try and find something more useful though. ahh alright cool. UK is RHD as well right? haha i'll check both foot wells anyway

    everything, its not like so dim that you can't see anything at night just noticably dim thats all

    I've had the car since new. all standard parts in the dash. i've tried playing with the dimmer and even pull out the cluster surround to check the dimmer but no luck. like the lights seem to be only 3/4 brightness. worst comes to worst i'll take it to a electrician or lexus to fix it.

    tried that all connecters are fine. dash lights don't work without the dimmer switch which completes the circuit. I found a "DIMMER" relay or fuse in the engine bay is that what should be checked next?

    Hey guys, my dash light dimmer isn't working and the dash lights seem to be a little dim. Should I go about replacing it? or is there a fuse of some sort? thanks

    hmm from the pics it doesnt look that bad. you could probably fix it up through getting used parts from wreckers. the wheel you may have to check for egging. suspension assembly to see if anything is bent. but yeh but the looks of it. you might need the following. - new radiator - radiator mounts - front quater panel - front bar - new racing hart wheel (possibly) - new tyre - new headlight and possibly a few other things.

    i've bought and done a fair amount of halos for the IS/altezza now and i found the lumenex set of ebay would have to be the best for both the price and quality

    Hi guys i'm looking to put a headrest monitor in a JDM dash tray but i'm jut not sure what monitor to get. I've seen SteveAudioX's setup and its awesome but I don't know whats included in building the same/similar setup. I did have the OEM sat nav housing before with a screen in it but I got bored and sold it off (its somewhere in greece now) so if anyone could help me out that would be fantastic. at the moment a static monitor such as the sony XVMB62 is on the cards. Cheers

    What LED's do you have I have LED's also but they are crap. They are 1W retrofitted spark LED Hb4 fitment but don't shine very bright (turns the fogs into parker lights) These r the 1`s iv got LED FOG BULBS r they like the 1`s uv got Got them 2 match my side lights yep exactly what I have

    ok here is to clarify things. IS200 headlights (orange indicator lense) do not fit on the IS300 and vise versa. the HID IS300 headlights ( clear indicator lense) were introduced on the IS200 on the MY04.5 model which included the upgrade from the 5 spoke 17" wheels to the 11 spoke wheels for the range topping model. All MY04.5 models onwards also came with different windscreen washers, dark chrome headlights, fogs, tail lights. So yeh the IS300 lights need different fender headlight mounts. I have IS300 lights on my MY02 2003 IS200 because I custom fitted them.
