I bought case from EBAY for £3.5, key cutting for £10 @ http://www.a1seecure.co.uk/ Make sure you cut it where they use electronic copy scan & cut key cutting machine like "Unocode 299 - Electronic Key Cutting Machine" which gets the cut all in one go, otherwise your key will be wasted & ull need to buy a new blank one Good luck.....

Yes, you are right Lexus got back to me today saying my transmission fluid is low which is as a result of broken drive shaft seal The seal cost £12 and it will cost me £300 to replace it PLS DOES ANYONE HAVE THE PART NUMBER FOR THIS SEAL, THIS IS THE SEAL THAT PREVENT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID FROM LEAKING THRU THE DRIVE SHAFT

Hi , very interesting thread. I'm very interested in alternative service garage for my car Lexus wants to drain me dry. Ive been quoted a ridiculous £300 to change a broken seal that cost £12 Also quoted £200 to change SIX spark plugs I feel like I'm being punished for driving crappy luxirious brand ANY RECOMMENDATIONS WILL BE APPRECIATED, IM BASED IN SOUTH LONDON

Seems like its using petrol, in reality its using LPG cos the system has been developed to petrol consumption specification

Mine was broken also, I bought a replacement from Ebay (£4) and got it cut for £10. Swapped the transponder and all was sorted. I cut mine from http://www.a1seecure.co.uk/ - -- Tel No: 020 8301 3439 The have a vey nice machine that will copy/scan and cut the key all in one go, no wasting upto 3 key before getting it right Good luck

RX300-SE 04REG, 44K miles HERE ARE SYMPTOMS/ISSUES IN CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING : CAR ALWAYS A DELAY WHEN IN FORWARD GEAR & WEN IT EVENTUALLY MOVES IT JUMPS OFF/(JUDDERS) LIKE THE CLUTCH IS SLIPPING SOMETIMES ILL NEED TO FLOOR THE PEDAL BEFORE GETTING THE CAR MOVING & IT STARTS DRIVING LIKE NOTHING HAVE HAPPENED WHEN DRIVING UP THE HILL, UNABLE TO GET TO THE TOP, THE CAR STOPS WHILE ENGINE STILL RUNNING. Hi pickleparker, Im currently experiencing this issue with my RX300-SE 04REG, 44K miles, My car hesistates before moving It jodders when it eventually moves and feels like ive been hit in the back.... When I stick it in forward gear and will not move at all sometimes When moving u the hill, I get stuck(stops moving) before getting to the top of the hill Ive taken it to Lexus and they reckon its caused by low level in tansmission fluid, the drive shaft seal is broken causing leakage in transmission fluid. Hence the tansmission fluid is low.. But I doubt if this is the real issue cos I dont trust those Lexus guyz. Can you please let me know if this are similar symptoms that you experienced Can you please let me know how you manage to sort yours out, what was the diagnosis and solution.. THANKS

Hi all, I have a RX300 SE 2004REG, UK SPEC, 41K miles, The car runs on LPG have LPG since 25k mile, Now 42k miles, 1prev owner The engine managment light + VSC light is on One morning the car will not move forward nor move backwards, Ill have to floor the acceleration to get a slight movement either way. I abandoned the car for two weeks while I search for solution, went back into the car 2weeks later and I manage to drive it all day as if nothing had happened. Took it straight to Lexus Sidcup for full service and diagnosis/Investigation Lexus could not find what the problem 'cos: 1.They claimed that the they can only diagnose/fix this issue whilst the problem is active{sounds like bull **** to me} 2. They claimed the engine managment light + VSC light cannot be cleared and its a known issue with LPG fitted Lexus RX300 I've got the car fully serviced with transmission fluid changed but I still have this intermittent transmission failure. SYMPTOMS OF MY TRANSMISSION FAILURE: Unable to drive off from temporary stop once in a while, i.e while a traffic stop/light and Ill have to switch off the engine, restart the car to get it moving again The car drive slowly early in the morning like a cold engine warming up and get normal after a while Ill drive into a car park normally, and while trying to reverse park becomes impossible or Ill have rev sooo high to reverse park the car This is so worrying for me 'cos I dont wanna get stuck on the motorways one day, although I have AA backup Could it be the transmission Shift solenoid ? ANY ONE ELSE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM, YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE
