I take it you found another motor then Phil?????
-
what are they like on fuel
Not too good on feul, av 25-30, everybodys different, but generally in this area
is there anything I should look out for when Buying one any mechanical
problems
No mechanical probs really, you may find a slight judder with clutch 1st gear when pulling off, sounds bad, but is not at all, just a common characteristic.
Take a couple of old cd's with you try out the stereo.
Check that there is a 3 button key (this is usually the master, will need this if copies are required)
is there a big difference with auto and manual fuel wise
thanks Indy
No, not more than a couple of mpg, so i'm LED to beleive.
Anyway, welcome to the club, happy hunting,
may would be a good idea to post in the wanted section, specifying age, milage, spec, colour as best you can
Deckie.

My JVC one was earth that was required, i found a nice place above the pollen filter housing
EDIT - i never even looked into how easy access was to handbrake wires, sorry

It doesn't match will out of the packet, but it doesn't cost alot so no real surprise there. i beleive there is a Lexus part (someone will correct me if i'm wrong)
DJ Wozza did a tutorial / walkthru on how to better match the fascia to the centre console.
This is time consuming, involves glueing, filling sanding & painting, lot's of members have done this, time consuming but worth it.
This is mine, as you will see, it looks a wee bit "wonky" top centre, but colour / finish match is pretty close.
This is another thread with finished article

Does the boat exceed 1250kg?? or does the trailer not have brakes??
-
Never seen a tow bar on a 200??
Here's what i found:
With brake 1200 kg
Without brake450 kg
I bought myself one of these for towing,
doesn't tow any thing very fast but great fun, cheap & reliable, and it keeps the miles off the Lex

Just been catching up Dimi, nice tidy job on the oil cooler, swapping the switch's with your dad was a great idea, Bumpre looks the buisness, great work, U fitted the dials yet???
-
I am ok to go ahead with it now, just dissapointed at the lack of numbers

Hi bud, welcome along to the club,
Is this what you require??
This is the TRD front lip, and can still be bought over the counter at lexus (maybe even Aberdeen) and cheap copies can be picked up on the bay,
or do you have something different.
The TTE version is part of the bumpre not an add on, but there are other front lip / splitters / spoilers out there,
Do you have a pic?? or a pic before the accident??
Have you tried mailing sellers that are breaking IS200 on eBay for bumper & washer?? allthough a bumper will come up here from time to time when someone swaps for a TTE one.
EDIT - Start a new thread in the wanted section, you never know
If buying new
TRD front lip part number 08154-53810,
list price £146.10

Lie in the boot, coathanger in hand, thru the ski hatch, have someone guiding you to the door handle, or if you can get your head thru the hatch (funnily enough i've never tried) better still :D

I recently bought these springs off eBay for £100, as i broke one of my old lowered springs.
These are sold by racedynamics, unsure if they manufacture them or just sell them, they were supposed to lower 40mm all round.
This is the front springs, 300mm.
Rear 370mm
Road to arch height front 650mm
Road to arch height rear 650mm.
This may have settled a bit since taking the measurements, i do not know if this is 40mm lower than standard as my car had lowered springs on before, which were deffinatley lower than these ones, i doesnt sit so well and look as good anymore, but i can now use multi-storey car parks, and dont have to avoid streets with speed bumps.
If you can wait a while, save some more cash up, i would suggest going down the coil-over route.

Edinburgh??
is that closer??
-
Just splash out on my one bud
Maybe be better to give folks an idea on how much you are willing to part with, there is also a tidy silver one on here, going for little money too!!
-
18" wheels - good idea
Coilover instead of just springs - good idea
that body kit - horrendus mistake
This is not law, obviously this just comes with loads of IMHO
-
the IS should be cheaper to run/maintain easier to modify/tune be comfier and im hoping more entertaining.
Sorry, but no, only way to get more power is supercharge(£2K+) it or turbo charge (£5K+) it.
IS300 or Altezza probably the better options, tho the tezza looses some stoy's / comforts if that is important to you?
-
have you got the part number by any chance?
85381-53070-C0
This is the part number i used Asi, this is for Astral Black tho, you still going white????
-
Crap headunit as standard - Error codes.
Judder from clutch on take off, crunchy 1st & 2nd gear (sounds worse than it is)
Apart from that - Bullet proof :D
-
-
Spill the beans!!!
are the kits not available anymore then????
-
Or SPC Horsham will fit a turbo kit they have developed for £5K, drive in, drive out
who are SPC ??
They are a tuning outfit in Horsham, West Sussex Bazza, surprised you've not heard of them
