Go aftermarket, it's the best thing you'll ever do.
-
Some one thinking ahead & posting pic's before we all start asking for them!!!!!!
Car looks good, welcome to the club Happy

Insert a link mate instead of trying to copy & paste, let us see what your on about.
-
Been thinking the same thing, and the answer I keep coming up with is yes on both counts. but hey, maybe the ar5e will fall out the ISF & i'll be able to afford one (always looking for the silver lining)
-
Nice & tidy interior bud! you must be running out of things to change / add / modify now????
-
Get somethin else then, why would you have to get it?????
-
Welcome along Dave, look forward to the pic's

I'm with Yeldarb, sounds plausable, i dont know but would imagine there is a float in the tank, and yours has stuck, top it right up and see, no loss if it doesn't, you'll still use the petrol.

was wondering the same

I have a set the same as Kam05, sitting in the loft, 1 is kerbed, so i will keep it and add the spare (which has never been on the car) to make a set of 4, the other 3 wheels are in good condition as the owner before me had the wheels exchanged with Lexus just before his warrenty ran out, The tyre on the spare is brand new, the 3 tyres on the other alloys were only on the car for a couple months, there are pretty much brand new aswell.
I'm offshore right now, home monday, so if you are interested
-
Which wheels are you after mate, the ones the same as KAM05's (above in his signature) or the ones the same as Asi's old car (again pic in his avatar)?

that happened to me once mate. had to get a new engine which i fonud one for 250 pounds and labour was 300 pounds. i know how you feel mate
That was a great result Asi, getting a engine swap for £300 labour. you must have contacts
-
Firstly fonda, sorry to hear of your situation, but
How old is your car???
What spec is it???
What is the condition of bodywork & interior??????
These are all questions that need answered before you commit to the expense of repairing or putting in a 2nd hand engine.
Breaking the car & selling the parts is a slow labour intensive job, if it's in good nice otherwise, stick it up for sale as it is, and you never know who may have a engine transplant in mind, or have a smashed 200 with a engine and need a good condition car to put it in.
Dont mean to kick you when you are down but it's not a good situation, like the guy told you replaceing the head and everything else could cost as much as a replacement engine, either way there is cost & risk involved.

Welcome along to the club, ask away, we'll do our best to help you spend your cash :winky:

The tensioner & idler will not add that much cost onto the job, best to change them out aswell :winky:

i have had most of my car resprayed due to vandalism, this also included bonnet but the price i paid was including other parts of the car. i think a bonnet repspray should cost about £100 from a good bodyshop.
WOW, i think you would be lucky just to get the paint for that price never mind the labour in getting it done!!! long time since i was in the trade so i may be wrong.
If its just stone chips you need sprayed out bananaman you could have a go at doing some of the prep work yourself???? dont know how DIY you are????? and ask the body shop not to do the t-cut, Polisher work on it afterwards, this you could do yourself at a later stage once the paint is nice n hard, that could save a couple of hours of labour aswell.

Why not buy Jays ond charged IS200, it's priced too expensive (sure some haggling could be done) but looks the part, and would give you the same sort of power as a Altezza????? or am i barking up the wrong tree???LINK Jay is from Aberdeen i think, so this went to nottingham not that long ago
-
First i've ever heard of this, but i know that Stav has one fitted to his manual IS and uses it to control his Stereo, so that might be a use for it, i have no idea about if the other parts are available to buy & fit to give you cruise, i would think if that was possible, someone on here would have done it by now.

This one went down quite wellLINK
