  1. Look for the small tab on one side of the red block, instinct would tell you to fit it like so,

That way the lights will not work, flip the plug over like so,

I have fitted hids in all my headlights and front fogs and all had to be filpped over!

Also when you come to fit the passenger side bulb, remover the diog plug and move it out the way to give you a few more inches as that side is tight as a nuns!!!!!

    Hope this helps.

  2. The ones in the first link (is200) were a group buy a few years back and made by a club member to order, they do surface now and then on eBay and the facebook group saling page.

The main problem with them were that the light panel failed not long after they were fitted, they didnt have a long life span, looked the muts when they worked but they didnt last long enough to justify their cost. (light panels not the sills)

  3. Those Xeon kits, why fit them? Cant I just fit hid bulbs? Seems a bit of work just to swap out a bulb.

Takes 10mins to swap both bulbs mate, a little bit longer to do the fogs.

yes if you can afford the uk ones then get those, i'v had the cheap china ones in for 3 years and only changed 1 bulb (did both to keep the colour the same).

I call mainbeam fullbeam, and dipped beam mainbeam, just me thats all, sorry to confuse anyone.

  4. If your gonna do hid's in the main beam they will be better than the fullbeam with stnd bulbs in, your call but just dont expect the fullbeams to over power the mainbeams hid setup!

But yes to 5000k white and bright.

(but at less that £17 why the hell not get fullbeams too!)

  5. As Matt says, they do take time (3-5 secs) to warm up, but theres no way i'd go back to stnd lights in the highbeam, as just hid's in the mainbeam are brighter than stnd bulbs in the highbeam!

Plus at less than £17 on eBay if you put them in the front fogs you always have mainbeam spares with you as their the same bulb and ballast!

  6. eBay for the grill or log onto the facebook group LEXUS IS200 and ask ricky as he only breaks is200's.

better chance with ricky getting the same colour too!

yes the amp is under the glove box on the footwell wall, think theres 3 8/10mm nuts to remove, the amp dosnt have to come out and the connection is at the back, its abitch of a job to do but do-able, then feed the cable upbehind the glove box to the hu site, dont forget to tape the sides of the centre console to avoid any scratching getting the hu in and out!!!!!!

    Any questions just ask.

  7. Nice car and bet colour (same as mine lol).

Also welcome to the club and if you need help or have questions just ask as someone will have the answer or have had the same question before so there's a good chance you'll get your answer soon.

also most of us are on the facebook group LEXUS IS200, pop along.

  8. ERROR1 is "cant read cd" try a lens cleaner through it first, also if your playing copied cd's you have burnt youself try burning at a slower speed this helps alot.

If you find its a lost cause and head down the path of buying a new after market headunit make sure you buy the correct amp by pass cable and facia plate, also when fitting it you need to give the cars areal a +12v feed to power it so you can pick up radio stations! Be prepared for some blooded knuckels and lots and lots of swearing!!!! lol

  9. NOOOOOO!

    2 ways to do it.

1, strip wire coating back on sidelights, open wire with screwdriver end, feed angel eyes wire through sidelight wires, solder and cover with tape.

2, t-tap into side light wires and crimp spade ends to angel eye wires.
