I bought a s/hand one of the facebook is200 group that has the chrome tip welded to it, but the tip is totally fecked, it's at the welders atm getting the welds re-done as thats their weak points, but when i get it back was going to paint it all with matt black heat paint. But i may look into getting the chrome tip took off and use the one i have on the car now, as its in good nick.

winner, may have needed a reset or something, but killing the power to it looks like what fixed your problem.

The amps are a total b!tch to get at, so to change one expect bloody knuckles and a fair amount of bad language.

If you have time i'd strip back as much as you need to get the amp out to swap, but if times not on your side see above!

The bulbs are called grain of wheat bulbs,

Their cheap as chips on eBay, the bulb is held in by the legs that have been twisted around the fitting, just un-twist the old blown one and replace with a new one, 2 mins job.

I have an SE with a factory fitted spoiler with brake light!

You can buy them off eBay, not cheap tho.

SRP and Bluet-cut will only fill in the light scratches till you wash the car again and they get wash out in time, best way is to have the car machine polished with a rotary or dual action polisher, this will remove all minor scratches and marks, would set you back around £150-£300 depending on who does it and how much the cars clear coat needs cutting back!

Or if you've arms like Rambo you could hand polish them out using gtechinq P1 polish, it can be done but will take ages!

Also your method of washing will help keeps scratches down, use 2 buckets, 1 with clean soapy water 1 with clean rinsing water, also use a wash mit like a noodle type or sheep skin, never use a sponge!!!

Wash from the top down washing dirt away and use straight lines not circles as you wash, rinse and dry with drying towel.

Most of the stuff you can buy cheaply from asda's car section for a few quid each!

Goon youtube there's tons of car washing ids to help you.

Also dont forget to give the aerial a +12v feed to power it as you will get **** or no radio reception!!!

As far as i know, you have to match the number that was on the unit that came out of your car with the new unit that you want to put in to your car.

The numbers are on he front of the units.

Its a 15 min job to do when you've got all the bits, why don't you do it together, oh er!!!

As far as i can tell yes, the parrot i have has the iso ends but i have and after market head unit so it was just plug n play for me lol

When i sold my grom to a friend who's is200 had satnav it was only 2 more screws and a cable extra to tackle, only took me about 10mins to fit and reinstall every thing, but i'v had the stereo out of mine a few times so was a dab hand at it lol.

Do you have an after market head unit installed?

If you do thats the problem, you need a black box of tricks that fools the satnav to think the oem head unit is still attached.

Have a look on eBay.

I now see what the op ment by removing the rear seat's as the nuts are welded to the hing!

Id be tempted to try and undo them from the boot without removing the seats by using and pair of mole grips.

Mine are cracked so if they were welded and a plate added that would maybe help the boot open even more?

Ok, first of all you cant access the boot by removing the rear seats as there's a bulkhead there!

Second, do you have a high 3 bar boot spoiler (see pic)

Or this style?

If you have the 3 bar one it wont open fully due to the extra weight of the bigger spoiler!

If you have either of those nip and grab 2 x 5mm bolts and place them in the slot where the torsion bars fit into the hinge (see pic)

Get your self a Grom kit, they now do them that support usb and Bluetooth!

Had one before i swapped over to a mech less Sony unit, and if i went back to the standard headunit i would have a Grom kit without hesitation!

10-15 mins to fit and you wont lose the satnav!
