  1. Nope i didnt expect them to go so quickly tbh heres a couple of pics of how low i went
  2. To be honest the red paint was just a wild idea. We were going to do red handprints but it didnt look like a hand because there wasnt a space big enough on the wheel due to the style of it I have no idea how these would look on the cra but we will find out soon enough. I will defo get pics up on here as soon as they are on (if they fit) Oh and they are 17 x 7.5J ormi
  3. Possibly on mine if they fit. If not its good practice for us and i'll just sell them on ebay or something
  4. Coilovers on mine and run in for more than 1000 miles mate. Im getting my camber and tracking done in the morning
  5. To all those who are lowering thier car If you plan on lowering your car then please please please get the trackin and/or camber adjusted as soon as youve done it! I had these tyres on the front about 4/5 weeks ago
  6. Right then guys heres a little project diary of what me and a few mates have been up to and are currently still up to (night off tonight tho to let the paint harden) I picked these alloys up off a mate about 2 weeks ago for a bargain price of £40 as he just wanted them out of his garage to clear space. The one of them was white as he was goin to put them on his accord tyre R but then didnt do the others as he got a different set of alloys So first things first was stripping the white off them and seeing what we actually had to work with Then came the sanding to get the finish right on them and ready for painting First one finished And back to more sanding My mate alyn looking very happy considering it was about 3am at this point Getting there This is what we had to work with once all sanded We then got primering. This was my job as the boys seemed a little scared of the spray can as they werent thier alloys Then time for some colour. I know this is not going to be to everyones taste but my car is going drift and ive never seen a normal looking drift car We then decided they were too boring so........ We splatted them all with red paint to see what happened. Definately livens them up and actually looks quite funky. I love them!! All thats left to do now is laquer them and get some rubber on them Now like i said they will not be to everyones taste but i am quite happy to take opinions/abuse Mike
  7. ok i'll sort all the pics into order now and ill post a new topic very soon
  8. Ive picked up a set of alloys and got a bit of a project diary coming along with the refurb of them. Can i put it on here oris it not allowed because there are so many pics?
  9. Yea defo mate. I got alot of plans for the car. Not staying like it is for long
  10. Just a few quick pics now the coilovers are set up# Pictures are poor quality i know but i just thought id get a few quick snaps for you all
  11. Car has doen 128k. A few friends of mine are mechanics and the condition of the oil was so bad that it was recommended that i use it. I wouldnt wanna use it everytime i change the oil and in your case in may not be needed if you have already done an oil change fairly recently
  12. I think most garage charge around £40 to run a diagnostic which isnt a hell of a lot if you can sort it out after
  13. To be honest it depends what you like mate. If you still want the lexus ride quality then i wouldnt recommend having them on a stiff setting but whatever happens it will be stiffer than standard. Personally mines is as hard as they can be and believe me you feel every peice of chewing gum on the road!! Can handles a hell of a lot better and theres no body roll at all. Also the steerin is alot sharper/more responsive now
  14. Well i thought mine was pretty thirsty but yours is alot worse mate. 110 miles from £30 I went from cardiff to rugby and back on about £45 and its about 300 mile round trip (roughly) It seems odd thats its idling so high so id prob get it checked out. Maybe just get a diagnostic report to see if anything shows up even though you have no management light on at the moment. Shouldnt cost you too much and it may show up with something simple
  15. I know i am posting alot of topics on here at the moment but thought it was about time i got myself more involved and let you all know what was going on and thought id start using you all for information :D I managed to get hold of a set on Tein HA coilovers the otherday for a bargain price and had a bit of a roadtrip from Costa del Cardiff to Rubgy to collect them. I got round to fitting them yesterday and I am loning the difference it has made. My previous car was like a go kart and when i first got my IS i hated the way it handled. I have had the car about 18 months now and to be honest i used it mainly as a run around and wasnt all that bothered with it. I am now in love with the car again though. I have had a full stainless system fitted, de-cat but had a resinator fitted to keep the back pressure. I also have alot of other plans which i will be honest may not be to the taste of some people on here but i will post pics to get your reactions very soon Anyway thanks in advance guys and your going to be hearing alot more from me in the near future and i will get some pics up for how she looks with the coilovers on as soon as i have finished tweaking it myself to how i want it
  16. I serived mine myself last week. Got oil and filter for £43 (on trade) Castrol 5w-30 magnatec. I got spark plugs for £18 off ebay and changed the brake pads which i think cost me about £40. I also changed the coolant not so long ago and that costs next to nothing. I also used engine flush to get rid of all the old rubbish oil that was in ther and that cost me an extra £3.50. So all in all it works out alot cheaper to do it yourself if your willing to put the time and effort in As already said the lexus service stamp isnt going to make mush difference now with the age of the car. Mines on a 99 T plate and i just wrote in the book myself and the milage at which i did it Hope this helps
  17. Thanks bazza but there are done now. I gave it a go, couldnt imagine it being too hard......i was wrong haha
  18. I have had a quick search on here but does anyone know if there are any guides on here on how to fit my coilovers? I cant imagine it being too hard but just thought id check anyway Thanks Mike
  19. Have cash waiting and willing to collect
  20. Need coilovers asap If anyone has any for sale then give me a call 07791279973
  21. So im guessing they are not very stiff then? or can you adjust the damping on them to make them stiffer than your setup is at them moment?
  22. i think its the way its made mate i don't think they can strip it remove parts their was a piggy back ecu dastec one on ebay for £150 Do you get much of a gain from the piggy backs?
