Hi i was going to buy a HID kit today thinking 6000k but had a couple of questions first if i wanted the hid kit on both running lights and main beam do i have to buy two kits does anyone have this on here? and also which bulb set do i need for is200 and do i need one of the kits that work with warning light system canbus compatible thanks again.

Hi guys was thinking of buying a fault code reader was looking at this one is this one ok for my 51 plate lexus is200 se or can anyone tell me one for same sort of money thanks again.

i know of one there only because i have been past it i live in northamptonshire here is the website www.elite-motors.co.uk i have never used them just one i know of round here

i agree they are both on list of things to do along with HID kit and i think 30-40 mm drop is first on the list how easy is it to do if i just get lowering springs? and yer im happy with the tire size for now. thanks again

thanks for the advice so if i could get him to do a 215/45/17 on the alloys that will be better and my main question has been answered because i ring companys asking if they would and some say no they wont some say they will so hopefully i can get a different tire THIS WOULD BE BETTER AM I CORRECT IGNORE THE CAPS CANT GET IF OFF LOL THANKS

ok i see well this is what they say it comes with so if you didnt have any problems with rubbing on your tires then i shudnt with a 205 tire because its smaller on the rim am i correct? and it comes with full fitting kit to match car so should be ok there if he says he can put different size tires on them shall i pick different profile tires or stick with the 205 ones thanks again

so they would fit no problem with no rubbing on standard suspention setup front or back and would they still be ok with 205/40/17 as these are what the alloys come with? thanks again

been looking at dotz hanzo alloys these are the specs on them Size: 8.0x17 PCD: 5/114.3 Offset: 35 could you tell me if they would fit a 51 plate is200 SE thanks again

Hi thanks Yates-is200s i ordered mine from a local car parts supply place at 9am and it was there by 12 they did the timing kit including idler and tensioner and all the other belts for water pump,power steering and aircon for £108 quid so not bad the timing kit was not a genuine kit tho but have to say still great quality parts and it turns out the belt wear was caused by the tensioner failing a bit on the back had broken off and the tensioner was not putting any presure on the belt at all so very lucky. This turns out to be related to a noise i had been hearing when the car was starting a rattling noise which went away when reved the noise was caused by the broken tensioner spining every now and then. So all sorted now big thanks to all on here that helped and remember check your belts mine also tured out to have also jumped one or two tooths so the timing was off lucky no damage seems to have been caused thanks again

thanks and trying to get one locally cause need the car monday hopefully can get one if i ring early in morning same day if they know where to get it.

Came home from work and after seeing on here how to check the timing belt fort i would have a look and lucky i did by the look of the belt its worn bad fort i would get your opinion of the belt.

hi newbie to this site my 2001 is200 is coming up to 100000 mile service which i will be doing myself i was wondering if when i do the service its worth putting a k&n panel in it insted of the lexus filter but people say that because the k&n filters are oiled they can make the maf sensor go is there any truth to this they say the pipercross ones dont but i dont think theres much difference between them. Also oil and sparks plugs could someone point me in the right direction on a good oil fully synthetic or not? and what grade oil also spark plugs there are couple different makes on market which ones are the best thanks josh

nope its got the original one in at the mo but i think he put that back in when he sold it

not that i no of i think it could be a stardard to iso sort of set up for an after market head unit

2day i pulled the centre lot out and it turns out i have the 2 white conectors pluged in all ok but i also have another black plug a big one that has been spliced onto the left hand original plug and on it i have what look like 6 clear speaker wires coming off the black plug but this plug does not fit into the origanal head unit so the question is what shall i do now thanks

Hi i purchased a lexu is200 se yesterday but it turns out the stereo does not work the hu has power but i try to turn it up on the dial and nothing no sound at all can somebody please help me with why this is happening thanks
