  1. You may be right. These were my short-term observations - looking at fuel level indicator. I'll fill it up and check the consumption based on the full tank. I know I need to change the LPG BRC Genius part (don't know the English name) and maybe this might be doing some mess. Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing knowledge
  2. I'll probably start running using the LPG installation which was mounted by the previous owner though I never thought I'd use this kind of fuel, :duh:
  3. I've driven my IS 200 for about a month and I can not believe the fuel consumption is so high - manual transmission Don't know if this is the case of the gear-box ratio which is horrible in my opinion - how could somebody make a 6-straight engine drive 90km/h using 6-th gear with RPM higher than 2500 and consuming about 12l/100km? This is very strange to me as I remember driving Audi A6 2.7 V6 bi-turbo automatic transmission fully loaded (5 people and luggage) 120km/h consuming less than 8,5l/100km. Can you point some tips how to drive it with reasonable fuel consumption? Maybe the moment of changing gears is the key - let's say at 2500RPM, or 3000RPM but I doubt it frankly speaking. I know the fuel consumption is not the most important for a car enthusiast but nevertheless it is strange for 2.0L which is not supercharged. Thanks in advance for any tips and suggestions Sorry for the km/h and liters per 100 km but I'm really not used to miles and mpg ;)
  4. yup, probably the brake fluid level is below min
  5. Hi, Got a question to ask about startup procedure. I've driven several Japanese cars and I used to turn the key to ON position, wait until the engine gauge is off and then start the engine. Now with my IS 200 the gauge goes go on and remains like that until I start the engine. Is it correct? I thought it was the LPG installation I have so I checked another IS 200 without LPG and it was the same - the gauge did not go off until I started the engine. Did not find anything in the car's manual so I'd be glad if you let me know how it looks like with your cars. TIA
  6. The problem I described concerned normal petrol startup. This is my first car with LPG installation so I'll ask a few questions. How should it be started - petrol mode and then switch to LPG or the switch can be set to LPG when starting the engine? Are there any concerns when running the car on LPG when the temp. of cooling liquid is below 90C?
  7. Hi, I've been owning the car for a week and I've had problems with startup 2 or 3 times. However the engine starts after second attempt. I think the spark plugs and ignition wires are ok as the car runs smoothly and without any problems. Is it a problem of starter motor? The previous owner installed BRC Sequent 56 for propane-butane fuel. Can it be the root of the problem? TIA
  8. I know that fuel tank capacity is 70l but wanted to know how much fuel is still left when the low fuel level control is active since I can not find it in my manual. TIA
