  1. Yes matey - I've even tried swapping them for a set of LED ones that came free with the HIDs (because they mucked up my order and it was delayed for a few days). Ok check the fuses then like Chris says both footwells for the boxes but i'm pretty sure there in the drivers. Just 1 thing tho wont the fuses be the same for the headlights as a whole rather than seperate for Side/Dipped/Main? I've checked the fuseboxes under the footwells and there is nothing of interest there. The engine bay box has a fair few fuses for headlights... but nothing that seems to refer to just sidelights.

  3. I've just noticed I don't have any sidelights. Well, I have them, but in option 1 on the stalk, I get dash lights, rear lights and number plate lights, but no front sidelights. I can't locate the right fuse either to check that... So er, can anyone tell me where it is or what might've gone a bit weird. I only noticed this because I was fitting my HID kit earlier, and when looking round the front (before fitting) I noticed there where not any sidelights.
  4. bottom of the radiator is a small white plastic tap, undo and drain. Probably worth doing a flush at the same time to clear out any deposits and cruft.
  5. Underside looks tip-top, so it is purely cosmetic as far as I can tell. Sources for replacements - dealer or internet for those?
  6. What do you reckon for the discs... I was thinking dark to mesh nicely, so maybe grey or black?
  7. Yes, I'm feeling all smug about the car... However, I have noticed that the car has 'corrosion' on the calipers and inside the engine bar on the various nuts etc. Now, the car came from the Brighton area, and the previous owner lived in Shoreham-by-Sea. Should I be overly concerned about any corrosion type problems, baring in mind the car has spend time in a salty / wet environment?
  8. So, after one week of the Lexus, I'm still bouncing off the walls with joy. Now I've found myself cruising along at say 40mph, and I've ended up in 6th, which is about 2200 rpm (depending on conditions, the road etc). Is this a bad thing for the engine? My Bimmer used to cope quite happily with 40 and 5th, but obviously the driving characteristics of the cars are different. So, any thoughts as to whether or not this is ok to do? The MPG needle certainly appreciates it....
  9. Well, I have the car. Tis mine mine mine ;) A few pics I managed to shoot last night... One thing I'm missing - 2 x centre caps for the alloys. Any ideas where I can nab those from? Even better... anyone got a couple laying around they'd fancy selling? But, I am one happy chappy. Can't wait to get out at the weekend and start giving it a proper clean etc.
  10. The car is in better condition than a few cars I've seen that are 3 years old - hence the reason for paying that little bit more. Given the fact that the front of the car has very few stone chips (I had to struggle to find any) it does suggest it hasn't been abused too badly. Shall drop you a line mate - cheers, and thanks for the welcome.
  11. They're not a Lexus dealer, at 5 years should I be worried about keeping to main dealers? Also, any thoughts on a price guide here mate? I'm used to Bimmers and Vauxhalls up to this point...!
  12. Hello there, kind people of the LOC! I've just dropped ~£7k on a 52 plate (03 reg) IS200 2.0 (of the SE variety) to replace my incredibly (read - engine replacement required) dead BMW 318. Pictures etc will follow when I pick her up - hopefully Monday or Tuesday. A quick question - in the Bimmer I had a Sony CDX-500 with the iPod control module. Being a double DIN console, the Lexus won't take this, without going down Wozza's route of course, which I'd rather avoid to start with... So, anyone got any experience of (a) fitting double DIN stereos (and recommendations) and (B) adapters for iPhone 3Gs (as opposed to the first iPhone). Additionally, are there any things to look out for in terms of items that need to be changed around 60k miles, ie things that might not have been done so far that are probably required.
