  1. Report it - I have made several reports of dangerous driving in the past - them trace the car / driver - have a word and then call you once they have had the chat to confirm it was done.

Perhaps I have just been lucky but I have always been impressed and can only hope the indivuals concerned listened.

One was overtaking multiple cars in a residential area on a blind bend - quite a stunt. Another was a driver on the motorway trying to run me off the road after missing his exit ...

  2. End of an era - again you've been here longer than me too - shame to see her go - assume the new owner got the full LOC pitch before parting !! :P so we'll still see here around ...

Good luck with the GT4 hunt - a guy at our place had one a while back - quite some tool :P

  3. Not been on LOC for a while - here's the story so far ...

Went to docs 3 weeks ago with slightly swollen neck glands - got given a blood test and course of penicillin - thought no more.

Got a call 2 days later to go for some urgent blood tests at hospital - raised lymphocyte count- then got a call to see Maxio-facial consultant and Haemotology consultant within days.

Seems I have a lymphoma (cancer of the blood) - most likely to be Mantle Cell or Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia.

Doing a load more tests this week (bone marrow / CT / colonscopy etc etc) to fully identify type and stage.

My Mum died 2 years ago of Mantle Cell - though it is not supposed to be hereditary ...

Now waiting to see the Haemotogist again on the 1 September to be told exactly what it is, how far developed and what treatment is possible ...

So far NHS system has been so fast it is scary - almost impossible to keep up with the calls and letters for appointments in the first 2 weeks.

Hoping it has been caught early and that treatment will give me a few years (have a 4 yr old I want to see through school at the very least).

Make the most of what life offers - you just never know what is round the corner.

    Andy.

  4. Hey - don't forget they love the earlier models - cos Lexus left the heater running all the time - oh hang-on - they are not on all the time in my RAV and still they are making webs ...

Umm - wonder if some knitted mirror covers would help

  5. Javadude - your not "still" trying to justify the 'zorst are you - come on - just get it done ...

QUESTION: Does the ECU cope with the increased air flow of induction kit and replacement exhaust or does the car then run too lean, eg on motorway? (Edited by javadude and put back paraphrase of bit I lost. sorry. what a muppet)

  6. Sorry to hear this - Hope everything works out OK

I for one never scrimp on tyres - also have mates who take the mikey about it - but always feel it is worth it - this add weight to that reasoning.

Perhaps this is especially important now the IS range is getting cheaper to buy and owners have a yearning for cheaper tyres to minimise running costs.

Might be better to pay more and get the geo correct to make them last longer ...
