  1. Ok Ive tracked down the latest CD from http://www.toyotalexusspecialists.co.uk/ for £119. Heres hoping its better than my Tomtom Hi, it won't be better than a new tomtom, any other etc.. Lexus stopped producing CDs in 1999-2000. All DVDs from then on. As you can imagine, technology has mightily improved over the past 9 years. Thanks Graham What a pity the LS400 wasn't future proofed, but then again I guess if it was nobody would want a new one ! Is the CD advertised at .toyotalexusspecialists as a 2007/08 not so ?
  2. I have a Tomtom Rider V2 Europe which is a really excellent Sat Nav system for my bike, I can also use it in the car via a screen mount with a built in speaker, this is because the unit being designed for bikes, operates via a bluetooth headphone/mic set. But I also think it pointless having an inbuilt sat nav in the Lexus that doesn't cut the mustard, but £119 quid for an update CD !! Well its quite outrageous. The question here is what would you guys and gals do ? Spend £119 on Lexus update CD `s or use a screen mounted Tomtom/Garmin in the LS400 ?

  4. Hi, Thanks for this, I've looked at this website before and it's useful but unfortunately it doesn't cover the LS400 and the CD based system. It only covers LS430s and upwards which are all DVD based. Thanks anyway though. Steve Bump
  5. OK I have searched the forums with no real luck so forgive me if this has been asked many times. What is the latest version Sat Nav upgrade CD ( Not DVD) that will work in a 1998 ls400 series 4 ? Mine has never been updated, and wont according to the previous owner, even recognise Wales or Scotland? If I can update it rather than stick my Tomtom onto the screen it would be great ! Many thanks Mark.
  6. A tell tale sign could be a wet passenger foot well, Don`t want to sound too depressing but I think its a dash out job. You could add a bottle or two of K Seal to the water system ? It claims to do a permanent repair. Its certainly worked for me in the past.
  7. My LS400 series 4 has an unblemished full main dealer history up to now, with the last service carried out at the end of August. Its only done 88k which is nothing for this car I know, but as the vehicle is unlikely to depreciate that much now, I think I may continue with my service Guy who has serviced most of my cars for the past 20 years. But it all depends on the service costs from Lexus ? Can anybody give an indication of service costs on a LS400 from 88K onwards ? Has anyone continued having their LS400 serviced by Lexus ? Its just that I was told Lexus can be surprisingly competitive or is this just a myth ?
  8. Hello all, My names Mark and I have Just bought myself an absolute mint 98` Series 1V LS400. 88K on the clock full Lexus service history and just 2 previous owners. I have already found this forum excellent as I went about making my choices and getting myself clued up.. Superb ! Thought I complement my top Jap bike with the top Jap Car.
