Try swapping fronts to rear, see if it makes any difference - if it does then that would point to the problem being tyre related.
While they're off, check the tyrewalls for bulges.
would try that mate
I would say it could be tyre related.
I had a v grove eagle f1 with 8mm tread on side at the front and a very worn dunlop about 2mm thread straight grove tyre on the opposite side and the car didn't feel planted. It felt as you described with the steering following the road to a point that it was uncomfortable or felt less stable.
ya mate i have same v grove tread on one side and a dunlop 3mm straight grove tyre on another
will swapping fronts to rear to see if its make any difference will keep you guys updated
thanks for reply guys

hi all
Alright, at first I just thought that my tires needed air, but even since I put air in them this problem has gotten worse.
You know how it feels when you go down a bumpy road? cars tend to follow the road... in a bad way? Like when you come over the crown of the road, it redirects? Like the wobble back and fourth with bumps?
im running 225/40/18
3 with 6mm+ tread and one with less then 3mm which is on the front passenger side
wheels are rx450h wheels with et35
things i had changed in the last 6 months are
inner and outter tie rods
upper balljoints
lower balljoints
lower control arm bushes
caster bushes
and Alignment done by wheels in motion
it passed its mot just last week
thanks in advance guys :(

Cheers for the reply mate,
Do you know specifically what they did to fix it? Only I'm in Newcastle so Buckinghamshire is a bit too far for me lol
you can try one local to you mate http://www.blackboots.co.uk/order.php?step=5 in my case the rear wheels were all over the place

I'm having the same issue mate, pretty alarming wobble when going over larger bumps in excess of 40mph.... mostly on motorways, going over a rolling bump in the road etc - car dips after the bump as normal, but wobbles left to right when rebounding...this happens on straights, corners wherever, but isn't present when goin less than 40mph...
Could it be shocks, sway bar, drop links? Did you ever resolve this issue mate?
ya mate i had the geo done by http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/index.php and its been all good since
hope it helps

;) hi guys and happy new year
i have bought some Castrol gtx part synthetic 10w40 oil for the lex is that any good?
i normally use castrol magnatec 10w40
thanks
wahid
not good enough i would say , , 5w 30 synthetic is correct for the IS
http://www.millersoils-online.co.uk/1_Millers_frame_AUTO_WHICH_ENGINE_OIL.htm
i thought it was for lower mileage cars ie (up to 50.000)
mine on 75.000 i have used Castrol magnatec 10w40 3 times now its been nice and smooth
thanks

hi all
as title says my steering wheel feels very light it all started a month ago after changing the inner and outer tie rods and links i thought it was the geo so i had it done by wim
and this week i had the control arm bushings changed
the car feels like it's being pushed to the right at speeds 40+ it gets very sensitive
the only thing that i can think of is tyres next because i have 6+ tread on 3 tyres and 1 partworn 3+ tyre on other thats on the front passenger side i put that tyre on before got the Geometry done
so my question is could it be tyre related?
thanks
