Hi, you need to get your air mass flow sensor cleaned, You can check how to do that on YouTube by typeing in (how to clean air mass flow sensor). Rav. i have done this to my car and it is very simple,all you need is a cotton bud and meths and a screw driver.i must add that i hav'nt had any running problems,it's just something that i keep an eye on. Hi, I would not recommend touching the wires of the sensor as they are very delicate and could easily get damaged, Just spray some electronic contact cleaner on the wires and allow to air dry for half an hour. You can get electronic contact spray cleaner from maplins. Rav.

Hi, I had the same sound from my speedo counter. Dealer advised me that they could not repair the counter but had to fit a new one, But doing this will reset the mileage to zero miles. but then u could get it reprogramded! I don't think the dealer would reprogramme the dials, I was told that the change would be logged in my service book and with the lexus data base. my clocks were changed @ 17,500 miles and new clocks have now done 4,200 miles, So i just add 17,500 miles to get correct mileage.

Hi, thestig84 Yes you will find the outputs named tv1 & tv2 on the back of the dvd unit at the bottom, But be carefull not to damage the corner trim or the screen in the car as you will need to pull out the unit quite far. Lay a thick towel down between were the ashtray fits & the gearstick to protect the screen while you check the connections on the back of the dvd player. P.s if you find the plug is in tv1 you could try it in tv2 and see if it works on that output. Good Luck. Rav.

Hi, dirtydogg When i did the hack on my unit i also added a switch between the pink and white/silver wire as you can use the switch when you what a passenger to input satnav destination on the move. pro's are you can input a destination on the move. con's is the satnav becomes jumpy & looses its bearings when switch is at off position. So i turn off the switch when i want someone to enter a destination on the move & switch on again when done, when i turn the switch back on the satnav finds its bearings almost instantly. The switch also lets you use other options for the unit that are normally greyed out while moving. I did the hack on my unit two years ago and have had no problems or side affects. Regards Rav.

Hi, thestig84 Sorry that did not work for you. One more thing you can try is going into dvd control menu, This is done by pressing on the screen once while playing a dvd, you should then see a menu page with several control buttons play, puase, stop, etc. From here you need to press page 2 located on top right corner, this will take you to a page with a button marked setup, Now you should see a page setup menu. Press the default button to return to factory settings & then press enter and return buttons to get you back to dvd control page, Now press hide buttons to finish. When you did the dvd hack did you remove the complete unit out to rewire ?, As i recall there are two outputs from dvd to the screen tv1 & tv2 ,The connector should be in tv1 leaving tv2 unused. Also you say you have connected the pink and grey/silver wire ?, You should be connecting pink to white/silver wire going to satnav. Have a look at dirtydogg's pictorial of uk is220 dvd hack to make sure you have connected the wires correctly. the only other thing i can suggest is to disconect the car battery negative terminal for a while , To reset satnav to factory settings.(5 to 10 mins should do) P.s when you reconnect the battery you will need to setup the electric windows by lowering each window in turn half way and then lifting back up & holding the button up for two seconds. Hi when playing dvd's try pressing the audio button on the right hand side of the sat nav & then press the icon named picture on the screen. If this does not work check that the correct dvd region is set on the sat nav, you can find instructions to do this in the satnav manual. Also with the dvd hack the red wire only bypasses the hand brake safety, you still need to connect a switch between the speed sensor wire (pink wire). Hope this helps. Rav.

Hi, I had the same problem with my 06 is 220d, the car was with the dealers for at least one month while they tried to fix it, they changed my turbo the egr valve and all injectors but still could not fix it. They finally found some fine particles in the air mass flow sensor that was causing the trouble. This sensor is located off of the air filter box and can be removed and cleaned by a competent mechanic . Hope this helps you. Regards Ravi Chahal.
