  1. Hi all, is there many of you going to JAE this weekend, I am thinking of going for one day only with my son, but £25 each seems a little expensive for one day, I need your fedback with your opinions if it would be worth the money for one day out, also where do you guys meet up at the event, Thanks guys, Phil hopefully travelling up from Dartford Kent, and if any one else from down south maybe we could all meet up somewere and travel up in convoy, Good rolling advert for LOC drivers and their cars
  2. I am I correct in thinking my S model does not have an amp, it is not the premium sound system as in th SE, also I need to know what the single wire is for to the factory head unit, thanks again guys
  3. Hi, i have got a 2001 is200 S level, removed factory radio, I think its the lower speck fitment, top load cd, with only 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, (not premium sound system) and fitted clarion mp3 player 4x40 watt and x bass function, Question, why have I lost all the bass upon fitting this clarion, superb clarity, treble etc BUT no bass, Its not the head unit because when I refit back into MR2 the sound(bass) is superb, Also when refitted original h/u bass was back, Also what is the single lead fitted to the back of the original oem head unit, also has two multiplug connectors, which I know is power speakes etc, Its just the single lead I was concerned about, Thanks guys, Phil,
  4. Hi, done quick search but lots to choose, Can you tell me where JAE is, when on and how much to enter, As I and my son would love to attend, heard lots about JAE, and would like to find out more, many thanks guys, Phil
  5. All kits are ok, got mine from ebay Hid Xenon Conversion Kit-- H1/H3/H7/9006/HB4/9005/HB3 Item Id: 120457580363 End time: 15-Aug-09 19:45:00 BST Buyer:
  6. HB4 are tortally different to H4,.....HB4 are single beam bayonet mount, and H4 are dual filament Hi/Lo and lug fitting, hope this helps NB IS200 uses HB4 for the dip outer headlamp and HB3 for main inner lamp
  7. so why are they better this time , because they are on the is200/? was thinking of getting a hid kit... The H4 kit was bad as the light output was scattered all over the road and dazzled any car coming towards them, and the burner was Hi/Lo, so the burner was never in correct position relative to the reflector glass, but on the HB4 kit the burner(bulb) has a bayonet fitting and when in place very nearly replicates the correct position as the oem halogen bulbs, allowing the reflector glass to distribute the light output in correct position,
  8. Hi all, just fitted HID kit to my 200, and I think it must be the safest and best value mod anyone can carry out, kit took less than 15mins to fit and I can honestly say WOW, amazing pure white light and the most important a near on perfect beam pattern with a slight kick to the left, you don't even need main beam as the light output is far superior than the 60w halogen main beans, I have driven cars with H4 hid kit and these were terrible with horrendous beam pattern(HID=High Intensity Dazzle lol ), So if anyone was thinking about this simple but most effective mod then DO IT. Phil Kit fitted was from ebay £55 inc vat HB4 60K temp Go and do it!!!!!!
  9. Hi thanks all I may upgrade if as simple as that, ps a wiring diagram would be great, off to work now post later tonight or tomorrow, thankjs again, great bunch of guys on here.
  10. Hi, just bought a 2001 IS200 S grade, cloth trim. I have been offered a full leather interior with door cards and Heated seat buttons, I plugged the buttuns into lower dash trim and they lit up orange when pressed in so this confirmed there was an ignition power supply to them, My question is, is there already fitted under seats or carpet an existing loom so I can plug in the electrice seat operation AND the power plugs for the seat heater,, I lifted the drivers seat and put my hand under carpet but could only find Air bag loom. Please help as I am hoping it is there as I can not be bothered to do a rewire and I shall stick to the lcloth trim, thanks in advance Phil P.S prompt reply would Help as I have this week as holiday Iand I can fit them soon.
