I shall get on it shortly!

Yes mate pretty much. If i remember though both wires for my ignition light were black (one had silver fleck) so you just have to find out which is which. If you would prefer i can still do a write up?
-
Yes it is as easy as you think. Ive done mine in blue. just break into the wiring right up near the ignition barrel ring and route a 2 core cable to each point in the footwell. you can pull the heated seat controls out to gain access round the back of the stereo to the front footwell, and then under the plastic cover that covers the edge of the carpet then under the carpet to the rear footwells. I just used a couple of through crimps and bobs your uncle.
Obviously you need to make sure you get your feed and neutral the right way round though.

Yeah I know Matt, it's cars. I just prob expected more after buying one with a full Lexus history etc....
In regards to the ZX, yes both turbo's went but the point I was trying to make is I didn't get these little probs with those 2 cars. No sensors failures, no breaks seizing, no puddles of fluids under the car in the morning. I knew when I bought the ZX that it was 9 nearly 10 years old and I was aware that the turbos notoriously went around that age...
But yeah your right maybe I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself lol!
My last car, an 08 Honda Accord was Superb, that never had a thing go wrong but it was a lot newer!
At the end of the day I've formed a stupid attachment to this bloody Lexus, and I'll guess I'll keep throwing my money at it because when all is said and done I still have a little smile when I walk towards it and I get compliments on how nice it looks all the time. Also when I meet other IS200 owners a lot say to me "wish mine looked that" :)
Thats what its all about mate. The compliments and the heads they turn driving through town. I get far too attatched to my cars and dont plan on ever selling my IS. Only other car I really want is an impreza sti but I will save up and have that as a weekend thrash etc. As for my lex, i will run it until the engine conks and then swap to a 2jz and carry on but with an even bigger smile on my face !

oh right i see what you mean, so in reality how much of a budget could this be done on? im guessing it would be abit more than £2K
Maybe not
Manifold £150
Welding - free if you do it?
Turbo £100 for second hand
Black box will do if staying below 0.3 bar - £70
Intercooler - £100
Pipework and hoses - £100
Filter - £50
Down pipe fabrication by exhaust shop - £150 to £200
That's if you search for parts, and fit it yourself.
So is there a specific turbo really? or just a stock turbo off another car?
And these manifolds? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Lexus-1JZ-GTE-turbo-manifolds-Supra-Soarer-Drift-/300880611135?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item460de1c73f
or this the one you on about? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/90-93-Toyota-Supra-JZA70-MK3-Turbo-Manifold-1JZ-GTE-MF6101A-/400397495847?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d398cee27

For the brake, my make sure its not siezed. very common problem on the IS, may need another caliper.
-
Looks like youre really gonna struggle mate. Ive been looking for a good hour this evening probably and cant find any for sale. you may be lucky to find a second hand set at some point. However, you could contact this seller on eBay, they did sell them in the past. http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/carbon_culture/ let me know if they say anything.
-
if its only just come over it should be rust nearly free atleast.
-
Just direct from the website i think. They were rather expensive aswell. a fair amount more than bosch but then the bosch ones are £$%& anyway. Cant remember exactly though. they come with like a windscreen prep kit that makes the water justt run off it. All in all very good.
-
I have a set of PIAA wiper blades on and cant rate them enough.
-
I take it you have an IS200 in which case You could get a tte supercharger which just bolts on. Or spend more and swap to a 1g-gte or 2jz-gte. Either are massive improvements but not easy. You could turbo the standard engine but they aint that strong so you have to be careful or BOOOOOM.
-
Hehe I know. Perfect timing this one really though. Already being organised and fairly central location.
-
Shall do mate cheers for that. Should have quite a few in the end eh!
-
Right I am part of the Lexus IS200 group on facebook. Got asked if a few of them would be able to come aswell. Were trying to get a meet organised on there. Also the lass who is organising is called Kelly Nash if your on facebook and fancy pm'ing her

Its not the case, in fact ive just replaced the batt. but am thinking it would reduce its life. I also have HID which i understand need a surge of high voltage to fire up....
Thats what your ballasts are for. Your Battery will still only give out the 12v.
-
Dont matter actually now. found it i think. These http://www.crazyleds.co.uk/T5-286-LED.html
-
ive done my dials but didnt get an ignition barrel LED. where did you get that from and what type is it. I did know just completely forgot
-
Hmm would be quite a good idea really. Geoffers would probably be the man to ask
-
It makes me cringe seeing cars in that state especially car like the one in question. Some builders keep thier vans in better condition.
I reckon you would have regretted buying it if you did. Personally I would have walked straight away.

Just thought some of you may be interested in this. A mate of mine makes videos as a hobby for now. So far they are all car videos. He has been asked by a few clubs and a pro drift team to do videos. Anyway take a look and give me some feedback if you dont mind. Here it is http://www.brokenmedia.co.uk
